    Great for intermediates
Once I got past learning the chords and simple strumming/fingerpicking I went to jam play to advance my skills. Great variety and teachers.

    Great
Excellent but not as good functionality as the website desktop version. Progress doesn't sync between the two for me.

    Prepare to be nagged!!
Made the mistake of downloading this app and have been inundated daily (twice on Sunday) with "Sale Ends, Giveaway, Urgent, Last Chance, etc, messages regarding a $50 off promotions from "Deb Your Customer Service Guru." I hoping that I successfully unsubscribe, but as a precaution if you want to try this app I'd suggest providing a junk mail address. Show more

    Better than in person lessons
Don't have to put up with hung over teachers. Don't have to drive cross town and leave work early. Can skip a day without being charged for missing a lesson. Can replay things I need help with as slowly as I want. One critique: the "progress" feature is difficult to understand. Wish I could reset it and design my own lesson plan. Need more beginner songs. Convenient program but always reverts to its default not mine
I will admit, I don't access the app on my iPad as often as I use the web application via my iMac. It is convenient to be able to access the lessons via my iPad when not in my music room. My only complaint, a very minor one - whenever I open the app and I want to access my lessons, I have to go to settings to select my instrument (bass) even though I'm logged into my account. It always defaults to the guitar rather than to my instrument even though I have already purchased a full years subscription. It does not have all the bells and whistles that the full version online via web browser contains. However, I don't see that as an issue. Show more

Unreliable and No access to to web content
I really think this app is bad. First it did not work after the first use. Then I did not notice that it could not be used with the website. I then had to contact Apple to get a refund, this took about half a day. Save yourself the misery skip the app, sign up on the web site. Remember Apple is part of this problem, they could have done a lot to make the process smoother. If they can automate purchasing an app in under 1 minute, it should be easier to contact them to resolve issues. I do like the JamPlay site just not the app. Show more

    Greatest method for learning licks!
If you want to learn licks in any genre, this is the best app for that purpose. Great teachers, great licks, easy learning. All you need besides this app is your ambition to learn. Show more

    Jam n Play
The best guitar lesson app that I have bought so far. I just wish I could print the supplements.
