    Disappointed
It’s been several weeks but I am not getting any reply or answer to what I have asked via email. The problem I told you about not being able to include the title when I try to print out the scores still appears on every music in the app. I am disappointed about how you are not responsive and not solving the problem. Useless
The app currently doesn’t allow me to use credits I already purchased. I just get an error message.

    Annotations Gone
Like many others have experienced, all my annotations have mysteriously disappeared. Completely unacceptable. I think I’m going to have to stop using this app and go with ForScore exclusively.

    Amazing app with great features
The digital music is amazing and the features with the annotation, metronome, and others make this app the best digital experience for their music!

    Buggy app and unreliable.
Update: Changing my review to 4 stars. For some reason, the app started working again today - just after New Year’s. I now am able to purchase credits and download music. My previous purchases have also been restored and I was able to download it on the cloud. Taking off one star, because when I tried exporting it to a pdf format (iOS device), the notations looked skewed and shrunken. —————————————————————————————— I downloaded this app just 3 days ago and made some purchases. Just during New Year’s Eve, I noticed that the app suddenly wasn’t working. Store can’t be accessed, website link goes to a 404 error page and all my purchased downloads are not loading. I have done the troubleshooting of deleting the app, then relogging into my account. Nothing is still loading. Please issue a bug fix! Show more

    Suddenly stopped working
Bought the app a few days ago, suddenly stopped working. Must be some weird Y2K(20) bug...

    Best in the market
Love all the features! It works amazingly well with my Apple Pencil! The app is well built and is extremely easy to use! I use this in my chamber ensembles and solo works! Definitely recommend to all music lovers! Keep up the good work Henle team! Show more

Definitely a go-to app for me
Henle’s clear to read scores in an app. No carrying books around. I don’t tend to write much in my scores. Handy too for when teaching, create a notation layer for a student’s lesson as we go back and review. Can track progress without having to erase old critique. Customer service is fantastic - very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Show more

Printed layout wastes a lot of space!
I love the concept of the app but there are some choices that they have made that are not great The printed layout on Henle Editions on paper is excellent—it contains thoughtful page breaks that are superior to other editions and makes it a pleasure to use. When I choose the printed layout mode in this app, it gives me a lot of white space on the margins and really small, difficult to read notes even on my 12.9in iPad Pro. Of course I could use the custom layout and make it bigger, but then I am manually tweaking the page breaks to make sense to me, when the editors have identified the ideal breaks already. And the custom layout is limited so that you can’t cram in as many staves in a single page as in print layout. My work around current is exporting the pdf to another app to crop the ridiculously large margins. Not great. Could I please please ask the developers to create print layout versions with minimal margins and maximum note size for the print editions? Show more

    Best Quality Digital Sheet Music
By far the highest quality classical UrText editions in print, but now available as an app. Great playing mode. Works with page turning pedals. Excellent discoverability of new music. Most print editions are available. The annotations need some improvement but you can print to PDF and ForeScore and use that for annotations instead. Excellent support and quick response. Show more

    Why won’t my scores re-download??
I can’t access my scores when logged into my new iPad. Every time i click the icon to re-download purchased scores, it just highlights the icon with a square and doesn’t do anything ??? Show more

    Life changing
Designed for classical musicians. Great tools for fingering, pedal, bowing. Would be nice to have playlist tools, freehand writing improved. Can't understand complaints about cost. Urtext editions take money and time. My time isn't free either and I'd much rather spend money on the Henle library than waste hours searching for PDF files Show more

    Great scores; poor notation tools
5 stars for the scores themselves - the scholarly editions are indispensable for anybody who is serious about music study. I like that I can buy either a collection or just one piece from a collection, and it's much more portable and immediately available than paper scores. However, the reason I can only give three stars is because I find myself not using the app as much as I want to for actual practice & learning because I would give it 1 star for its notational capabilities. It's very difficult to write anything legibly with the Apple Pencil, and barely better using a finger. Part of this is because of the way that it logs individual strokes as separate "boxes" ... part of it is because you can only notate in the score by zooming in to a particular section. This makes it very difficult to make notes on a larger section. This doesn't seem like a problem that should exist! I find myself using ForScore for most of my scores because it's so easy to take notes in there. It's also really easy to use Apple Pencil with a lot of note-taking apps like Nebo, OneNote, etc., so I don't know why this issue hasn't been addressed. I hope you address this in a future update! I really want to use the Henle app for my work but I NEED to be able to write in the score more easily. Show more

Too Expensive and needs more updates
I'm sort of tired of waiting. The scores are great, but honestly? They're too expensive! That I could live with if the app was better. I've purchased a of scores, the complete this or the completes that, and it's a pain trying to find the ones I want. Need to create playlists. Fingering is tiny. Need to be able to zoom in. No more money, sorry, credits from me. And anyway: No Brahms piano? I'll update this review when they update the app!!! Show more

    No credits for you!
I installed the app, created an account as prompted, verified my email address, and now have to buy "credits" before seeing any score (other than one page static previews). Why don't I get the 50 credits others wrote about? A Credit is basically equal to $0.10, unless you buy a big lot, which can get you a 20-25% discount. To give you an idea of the cost of scores in "credits": Chopin Preludes cost 150 credits, Bach WTC 420, Bach cello suites 320, Bach violin solo sonatas & partitas 250, Beethoven complete piano sonatas 720, Brahms piano quartets 520. (To the reviewer who wrote that "credits" makes it sound like a "space opera"... ??????) Show more

App is great... but releases are too slow.
I check basically every day. They say to suggest additions, but it's 2017; but you know what people want here. Complete Liszt. More piano music. Some rare hard to finds. Curated collections? Anything that gets the speed of items here. Otherwise most of my time is spent on iCScores and the internet open classical scores. Show more

    APPLE PENCIL SUPPORT!
I'm really trying to like this app, but I am finding myself using it less and less. I NEED AN UNDO BUTTON AND APPLE PENCIL SUPPORT! Also, I wish the metronome could be set to any number, not the numbers set up from hundreds of years ago. Show more

    Can't Use Without Half-Page Turns
I love the idea and the execution of this app, but with one big issue that makes it unusable for me: The app does not provide the option for HALF-PAGE turning -- so that I can see the top of the next page and the bottom of the current page at the same time. When reading a 1st violin part in a string quartet, it's essential to be able to see both this page and the next page. Without that, I will use ForScore and wait for Henle to add this feature. From a performer's persepctive, this is not just a "detail", this is the difference between usable and not usable. Show more

    Definitely needs playlists and...
I am enjoying many of the features of this app. However, my library is already large with solo piano collections of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart (each of which has lots of individual pieces in the collection), and I am finding it very frustrating that there is no way to make a playlist as in ForScore or to at least bookmark or mark favorites. That, to me, is absolutely necessary to make it easier to jump from one piece to another without having to scroll through a whole collection, as has been noted by at least one other reviewer. I am also frustrated that even after I have chosen the printed layout option (which I prefer) for a given score, it seems to revert to the custom layout the next time I open the app and go to that score. The last-used layout should be the one that opens each time. So for now, three stars. Show more
