i just wish i wasn’t in an old mini ipad
goooood lord: this app is amazing for the price. i was looking for a ribbon controller to send midi into my modular analog rig (which it totally does with the right tools), but i have been spending most of my time with it within its own synth, because the digital synth itself is shockingly robust, and it’s amazing to have endlessly polyphonic ribbon control! No MIDI in? Please add support for MPE in
I just bought this app hoping to use with my MPE devices only to find there is no MIDI input, only MIDI output options. Very disappointed.

    Niche, but good niche
...like my own little Ondes Martenot, but on my iPad Pro. Fun to just mess around with, or go deep and record with.

Now my go-to expressive lead app.
This is the control I've been waiting for. I'd like to see a stack of 1-3 vertical sliders on your choice of left or right, color settings, and the ability to assign anything to a slider or Y. A second keyboard above with it's own settings incl. height and pitch offset would be great too. My only complaint is that notes begin on standard pitches even with 0 snap set. Even better than the positive/neg slider would be separate pos/neg amt-amt sliders each with their own y-axis center, or just freehand a vertical levels wave for each parameter. This would truly single out Ribbons as the most expressive live controller possible (unless you want to add four y-level assignments, for each ADSR phase). That would be the ultimate control this app is heading towards. Public domain KRPM. Show more

    Buy This
This app is a Joy-Buy It. I love it! No the developer is not related to me & no I don't owe Him,Her, any money. Look if you want to have way too much fun, stop reading this and buy this app. : ) Show more

    Very poor sound
Don't buy this, sounds like a Casio from 1998. Very disappointed

    Beautiful UI
The UI teaches you how to use it AND what it does. Simply elegant. Beautiful sounds. Process this with FX! Can't wait to play this through a tube amp. Bravo! This is worth the price alone just to see what iOS apps are SUPPOSED to be like. Show more

Another cool new way to interface with melody. I dig it.

    Wonderful musical instrument
It borrows from many other alternative instrument apps, yet still has a unique sound and interface that is a blast to use and make beautiful music with; or ugly noise if that's what you prefer. Very easy to program and play. Can't poke any holes in it yet. Well done. Show more

    EPIC. Stupefying. Edificatious!
This may be my favorite music app of all time, up there with GESTRUMENT and a couple others. Thank you so much for making it!

    The easiest
This is the easiest of my iPad synths to play. Lots of fun. Great interface.

Unique performance app and midi controller
There's a subtle art to playing this app that defines it as its own instrument. With some practice, it's a very expressive and fun simple synth. Alternately, it's an crazy unique midi controller for other apps or equipment. Show more

    Couldn't be happier
This is my favorite instrument app by far. The only competition it has in quality are Animoog, tc, and Orphion, and really anyone interested in using the iPad as a musical instrument should have all off them. I like them all, but find myself drawn more and more to the sound and simplicity of ondes as well as the intuitive controls over the excellent sounding filters and effects. This is what a mature ipad musical app should be and with the new update, swarm oscillators and midi functionality this is the yardstick of quality going forward. Show more

    Good Update with MIDI
Having different scales and being able to adjust the touches to snap to a scale or slide between notes while controlling volume and pitch wheel of another midi app is great. There are good instructions on how to use these new features as well as their limitations. Having most of the screen to control your playing is nice and it's easy to navigate to different octaves on the keyboard. Using Ondes with a couple of synths or effects in Audiobus enables you to get creative with sonic textures. You can saves presets which include Ondes settings and midi connections. Show more
