I think Tidal is enjoyable and has been my go to app for music!

This app crashes frequently, it stops playing randomly, the search function is notoriously bad, and the music isn’t even always sorted correctly (songs under incorrect artists etc).

But not so great search function

It’s worth having Tidal if you have a direct physical connection (ideally USB and not aux) to high quality speakers or headphones; the Master Quality Audio sounds absolutely incredible. It might not be worth it if you’re listening on Bluetooth (you lose significant fidelity through a Bluetooth connection) or if you have just-okay speakers— if that’s your situation, get Apple Music, cuz it’ll sound better than Spotify and it’s cheaper than Tidal. But if you really care about how good your music sounds and you have the necessary hardware, Tidal is the way to go. One way for audiophiles…Must !

Why am I paying 30$ for the ability to use atmos just to have a red band telling me I need hifi plus (which I’m paying for and can see in the app itself). Great app, but not updating my review till you guys do right by your subs dumping hundreds of millions into your company. Show more

I don’t want to be forced to make a profile

Love tidal! Great implementation of music playlists the bigger ones don’t compare to some of the mixtape lusts this app has!

Very good

Always have problems. The newest is it always sets itself to repeat. Too expensive too.

The crossfade option was literally the only reason I stayed with Tidal these past years. It made my playlists sound spectacular now it’s gone? Oh well, to Apple I go. I refuse to pay the same price when the best feature you had is unavailable. Show more

Occasional errors that come and go inexplicably. Poor interface with my car. Could use a better wrapped feature. Would be cool if people could share Spotify playlists and it would parse them to make an analogous playlist..and maybe vice versa. Like the ability to learn about writers and producers. Looks good Sometimes i find multiple artists with the same name jumbled together. But not owned by meta and gives more noney to artists so i can put up with these issues Show more
