Good app, just wished it supported Audible.

Sometimes,especially in the beginning, I struggled with using the Definitive App. I found a YouTube video that was helpful,but, it was mediocre. Someone needs to make more of an effort so others can enjoy their speakers,which are really nice. Show more

Great speakers but problematic software

Once I figured out HOW to connect a speaker to my WiFi network (using the WPS or password options), it became easier to learn this app. That part was the most frustrating step in connecting. The app itself attempts to walk the user through it, but some steps aren’t clear—like how to get the white SLOW pulse. I still have no idea for what the other faster pulses are used. This app is complex, with its numerous options available to the user, but I enjoy having the freedom to connect my DT speakers the way I want and listen to my libraries and playlists how I want. And, when there is a technical difficulty (like a disconnect), there are options to troubleshoot the problem and reconnect. Again, the complexity of this app seems purposeful and allows the user the freedom to choose from more options than the ordinary app. I am able to walk through my house and hear my music in various rooms without running wires in the attic or crawl space. Using the WiFi in my house as it’s network works very well and is satisfying. Overall, I’m enjoying this app very much. Show more

I’ve had the speaker about 4 years and every time I use it I have to reconnect (turn off wi-if and reset and/or reset at the speaker). I really enjoy the sound quality but the connectivity is a pain. (I would appreciate knowing if there is a fix to this problem) Show more

The App will not recognize that the phone is connected to a Wifi network. Because of that, it does not have any functionality.

This app use to work great to listen to music on my sound bar. I opened it up today and suddenly it no longer works. I have deleted it, reset my sound bar and reset my phone. This application just is not working for me. Show more

The sound of DT is exceptional, but the app and tech support is atrocious. I’m really regretting the money I put into this system. The app needs to be more user friendly, support different type of sound options (cinema, music, gaming, etc.), and work better with music services. Show more

Don’t buy this brand. Have nothing but issues trying to connect to wifi and play remotely. You’d think for this price everything would be spot on.

The App consistently does not work and causes more headache than it is worth. Previously you would need to go through the annoying setup process every time you wanted to use the app. Now, the app won’t recognize that the phone is on a wireless network. The icing on the cake is that when you reach out to the company for support they do not take responsibility for the app, they refer you to the third party who actually built the app. Show more

the speakers sound great. but that is pointless because the app NEVER works right. You will hate this thing - it was a complete waste of money! constant speakers dropping, music from siriusxm never available/ trouble fetching genres- whatever that means. Won’t play music I BOUGHT AND PAID for, i could go on. this system has become an expensive dust collector around our house. selling it all asap. Show more

This app does not work. Says not connected to WiFi when I am connected to WiFi. Awful.

First, I don’t use the DT speakers for streaming music apps. I have the W Studio Micro, and two W7 speakers, for a surround sound system with my 65” OLED TV. While the included instructions aren’t great (that’s why I took away a star) a quick online search takes you to support videos. After connecting the speakers to WiFi, simply go to the Settings, select Surround Sound, and its a pretty straight forward walk through from there. Overall time < 30 minutes. Also, sounds great! I moved since I originally bought this and now the sound bar won’t connect to WiFi. I am techi so I walked through the steps properly... once my phones WiFi is connected to the PlayWifi network, the app will not find any networks to connect to Show more

The App is the worst! They should go back to elementary school because they missed a step in fundamental learning! What good is great sound when you cannot get the App to function? Show more

It will work for a day and then the next it can’t find devices and you have to set it up again. Sound is great but very frustrating when you just want it to work. Show more

The sound is great but it constantly has problems when I try to play Sirius XX through it where it doesn’t download the menu. While playing other music it will stop at times where I have to go back and start everything up again. The sound is outstanding but terrible software. Very frustrating Show more

As everyone knows, Definitive speakers sound great. This is my first purchase of a micro sound bar, 2 W9’s and 2 W7’s speakers. My advice is to read the small little setup instruction book and copy the setup instructions from the app into the book. Only plug in 1 speaker at a time with the sound bar and setup that speaker. Then install 1 speaker at a time. If you want surround sound (which I use with the sound bar and 2 W7’s, setup that last. And when you have a new version software, be prepared for the update to mess up the setup. And sometimes by unplugging all the speakers and then plugging in the sound bar first and then all the speakers, you will be all setup again. When your Internet drops, you might have to plug in the speakers again. Once the speakers are set up, it is a great sounding system. Show more
