    They don’t answer emails
I purchased a 2 year subscription early in the pandemic. I decided not to proceed with a renewal. I was certain I had turned off auto renew. Early on May 5, 2022 Calm Radio charged me for another 2 year renewal. I emailed them on the 5th, and the 7th regarding this issue. No response. Update: Calm Radio answered my email request and refunded most of the subscription price. I not refunded was probably the fee from my credit card company which I think was fair. I did find Calm Radio helped during the brunt of the lockdown. Show more

    My favorite BG music app
Incredible selection of music and audio channels designed specifically for listening in the background as you work, play, relax and sleep. Classical is broken down by era, instruments and composers, there’s also rock, jazz, rock, country and various ambient sounds … my favorites are Haydn, high baroque, and bebop, I’d appreciate a bluegrass channel but I’m not complaining. Best of all, it’s seamless and free of interruptions: no ads, throttling or yak-yak, just sound 24/7. Well worth a subscription! Show more

    Disappointed
I downloaded this App because of their ad promoting “Cello Chill.” After downloading, the Home Screen displays a long ribbon of popular channels. “Cello Chill” is nowhere to be found! Also, many might want to see if the music will help them fall asleep, but it’s not possible to test this out since the free trial version interrupts the music with ads. Show more

    More Ludovico Einaudi
I love this app but I would really appreciate it if you were to add more Ludovico Einaudi songs on the elite artists tab

    Portable Serenity
I received the gift of calm.com as a birthday present from my children. One of the best I’ve ever received. There are so many channels and genres to choose from - all calming - and I can’t decide which I like best. But I don’t have to decide, do I? Nope. They are all there waiting to be discovered. The best and most important component of calm.com, is that it allows me to transport my serenity with me. Whether I’m streaming on my laptop in my home, or on my smartphone, my music and my mood travel with me! To my car, to the store, to the office...I don’t have to break the spell. My calmness remains with me, unbroken by commercials, or news reports, or today’s horrible pop music- the outside world remains at bay until I want to let it in. Calm.com , an easy and enjoyable way to shut out the world for as long as you need. Show more

    Trouble
I love the music mixes, but I’m having trouble. First, when it opens on iPad Air, the app does not recognize my annual premium subscription & will not allow selections without request to “upgrade.” Next, on all my (Apple) devices, the app will not let me advance past a particular song. I’ve rebooted my devices & deleted, then reinstalled the app several times, but with no luck. Show more

Great app, has helped stress and anxiety immensely
I play calm radio pretty much all day/night for soft music. This has been keeping my stress and anxiety levels down. The variety of channels is great, the app is reliable and hooks up well to my Bluetooth speaker. Show more

    Awesome app!
I quickly fell in love with this app. I usually only listen to classical music and not necessarily to put me in a “calm” mood, but because I enjoy it a lot. I hesitated downloading this app at first because I assumed this app would have a very small selection of classical music filled in with a lot of “show tunes” like most other apps but I quickly noticed that stations were broken down into different classical music periods and had a very large range of composers. After playing around with it for a few minutes, I was hooked. Most of the time I just want to listen to a certain period/style/composer and don’t want to bother searching for an album to listen to. I’ve been listening to the classical piano station for several hours now and every piece I’ve heard so far has been outstanding. Excellent sound quality, diverse list of composers. So far it seems like there must be a huge library of classical music on here and I won’t be hearing the same pieces several times a day. Having the nature videos playing in the background is really nice too. Now I’m adding nature sounds into the mix. Awesome! I’m in heaven. As I’m playing with the app, I had an idea that probably wouldn’t work because it would use way too much data, but it would be so awesome if somehow some live nature webcams could be integrated in. I would listen and stare at my phone all day if I could listen and switch between different live nature cams. Love the app! Thank you. Show more

    Honest review.
My biggest flex with the app is limited ability to download content. With audiobooks you cannot leave app and return where you started. Also I teach yoga and love the availability of music that is perfect for yoga. I teach at a facility with limited cellular data so downloading content is a must for me. This would be my only reason for not keeping this app. What is available is fantastic. I just need to be able to download. This is why I cannot give 5 stars. Show more

    I love Calm Radio but…
I’m a monthly subscriber but I still get ads. So, why am I paying monthly fees? It’s pretty frustrating.

    Poor app
Paid for no commercials and I still have commercials. Very disappointed.

    High Definition Streaming
I can’t, for the life of me, understand why Calm Radio hasn’t received more attention from various media outlets. It is affordable, well curated, high definition music. The classical music is wonderful, but there is so much more, moods, sounds, and all sorts of music beyond classical. I’ve subscribed now for several years, and it is head and shoulders the best. Baroque Channel
Calm features little-known Composers from the era which you don’t hear on terrestrial classic radio stations. Keep up the good work!

    Calmly Chiving On
My household subscribes to Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited. We also have the Receiver app running on Apple TV. We recently subscribed to Calm Radio for Christmas and added it to Apple TV, Macs, iPhones and Amazon Echo. We LOVE it! Improves? While the background movie image/screen-saver clips are a selection of a couple dozen themes, they are not very lengthy. We’d like to see longer clips and also a randomize or multiple theme play function. That said, there is a lot of data stored in the app and it takes a bit of time to download/install so I’m sure it was judiciously minimized. Likes? We’ll I’m not one to write reviews but I’m very happy with this product so here I type! Coming from a person who majored in music, I have varying taste. The audio quality is high. No commercials noticed so far (except for podcasts-there are some in that section). The genre selection is plentiful and the music is well curated and non-obnoxious. It truly is calming radio. 70’s 80’s 90’s rock? Yep - and somehow a calming selection. Blues? Jazz? Folk? Ragtime? Yep! There is a section for work-out music as well. Not calming but nice choices to get your grind on! It works fairly well with Amazon Echo integration and absolutely fairly valued at its rate. I wouldn’t like to pay more than current but at this rate I paid up for the annual subscription. I’m listening to it every day at home and in car during commute and Alexa being connected and hands free in the car takes yet another annoying technology problem away making each day a little more - calm.
