Instead of playing music, the app does nothing, except occasionally crash. Support is some twitter page… and I don’t have twitter, so I guess no app support either.

No new ios update. No new app update. No new music sync. Just literally bricked unless I first open the Music app. Never had to do that before. Deleted and reinstalled. Brick. Show more

I tested app and loaded two songs. Pressed play and nothing happened. Also no “help” link to ask questions. Waste of money

So…My iMac, circa 2015, running HIGH SIERRA 10.13.6 can't see this app in the Apple App Store. My older iMac processor will not allow update to latest OS. The app does load on my iPad but since my iPad has no port for USB I can’t import from CD’s. I was hoping to contact developer but he is available only on Twitter and have no interest in yet another social media account on which to vent. (Had hoped developer would have a Web site) Oh well…three bucks won’t kill me. Still, one would hope system requirements would be published. I’d rather not rate this as I can’t see it to use it. But, have to rate it to send. I’m not going to give it a poor rating, influencing others negatively, so will rate it “middle of the road”. Too bad. Looked like something I could have used to escape the claws of Apple Music. Show more

I’ve been holding off writing a review of Cs Music because for a long time it was effectively unusable on my phone, due to some weird interaction with Apple’s API that reportedly affected only certain users or devices. No longer. With the latest update, it looks as if the developer has cracked the problem, and Cs Music now works again as it should. And it’s great. Unlike Apple’s Music app, which is less and less about playing music and increasingly about selling Apple’s services, Cs Music isn’t a thinly-disguised storefront. It’s a music player, and all of the UI is devoted to playing your music. It’s nicely designed, attractive to look at and easy to use. And now that the startup issue is apparently fixed, it works well. If Apple’s Music app annoys you, you probably want to replace it with something else, and Cs Music is the best option I’ve found so far. Show more

Generally a good music-playing app, but the Activity view is repeating Apple’s mistakes. It is now always the first screen when I open the app, and it never has what I want to do. What happened to the app remembering where you were last time it was open? Quit pushing users into the developer’s preference, let us manage our own. Show more

Most launches give me the loading screen for 10 seconds before crashing.

Takes forever to start after the update. Please fix this.

Buggy. Crashes. Very slow to start. Will not start unless Apple Music is already running and playing music. Shame to brake such a fine app. Roll it back. The new function are not useful anyway. Show more

There’s noticeable delays when tapping around the UI. The most noticeable ones to me are when skipping a song. There’s a slight delay. The worst one is enabling shuffle, that one takes around 2 seconds. I do have a suggestion, it would be cool to have an option to blur the background based on the album cover, similar to Spotify and other apps. I want to replace the Apple Music app so bad but I can’t right now due to the lag throughout the app. Show more

Apple has continued to place form over function and their Music UI has become a bloated mess of album covers. This app follows the keep it simple strategy and doesn’t reinvent the wheel. I honestly don’t care if it has bugs. This is a superior music consumption app to the native music app I’m every way. Show more

Star ratings set in Cs show immediately in Apple Music player on iPhone but don’t sync to iCloud, so don’t show up on Apple Music on other devices, and eventually get reverted back. This problem has been happening for 2+ years. Is there a way for you to kick Apple Music to sync the rating/love changes to the cloud? Show more

Is there a way to delete tracks?

With Apple pushing streaming more and more with each Music app update, I expect my music collection of hundreds of legally purchased songs to eventually be accessible only in a submenu one day. Thanks to Cs Music, I can access my music again without obnoxious upselling for a service I have no interest in. My music is out front and accessible. Thank you thank you. Show more

I used to enjoy this app’s simplicity and ease of use - like iTunes before it started trying to upsell services with every screen. But after the latest ios update (to ios 14.7.1) the app opens its splash screen for about a minute and then crashes, sending me back to my home screen. And support is only available on Twitter, which I’ll never join. So long, CS Music. Show more

Only thing missing is lyrics display.

Never again will I pay for an app without trying it first. When the information said “your library“ I’m thinking all my stored music on the phone but what it actually meant was my Apple Music ONLY. Support is non-existent since I haven’t a Twitter account. Apple’s Music app is included and at least as limited. Show more

As someone with a large music library I’ve been building since I was a teenager, I require a music app that allows me to quickly navigate to what I want to listen to and Cs Music Player does it with a much better focus than the Apple Music app. Additionally, I appreciate the beautiful user interface that it isn’t bloated with features I don’t need. The way the now playing screen matches the UI color with a primary color from the album art, is tastefully done and gorgeous. It serves a fairly niche purpose for some people, but if you’re one of those people, this is one of the best apps in the store (and I feel like I’ve tried all the similar ones). Show more

FR: With the advent of Lossless and Hi-Res Lossless and Dolby Atmos in Apple Music, a clickable format badge on the Now Playing screen like Apple Music would be welcome.
