    No longer works
    I’ve used this app for years and loved it. Sadly, it will no long “connect” to my device. Please undo the changes you made to make it stop working with older devices. Show more

    Why the constant searching
    The IP of my amp doesn’t change yet this app is constantly searching for the device. It finds it most of the time but has to search any time you switch context to another app. Extremely irritating and unnecessary. Show more

    Disappointed
    So looking at Onkyo’s website, the new US distribution partner decided that Remote3 isn’t worth updating. So if you have a TX-NR series through the x4x series, this app won’t work anymore. Disappointment, considering Apple can put new firmware on the 2012 Apple TV but Onkyo can’t be bothered fixing an app for a 2015 AVR. Show more

    It works for me
    I using this to control my Onkyo TX-NR616 and I am finding out that it working extremely well. As with any remote there are limitations such as being able to access the setup menu that is displayed on the tv. But for what I need it has been working very well. Show more

    Unusable for me as of June 2020
    June 2020 When I open app on any device it appears to crash but persists in the background only. Same behavior when I try to activate the app from the background. Assistance appreciated! UPDATE: Onkyo USA replied to my support request they “are not capable of updating the app”. I have asked about the possibility of a new/replacement app. UPDATE: Working again with August, 2020 update to app. October 2020 UPDATE: Not connecting after iOS 14 update. Show more

    iOS14 needs support
    Just updated to iOS14 on my iPhone and now won’t connect. Tried what the other poster said to uninstall app and reinstall and reboot but still won’t connect. Also the receiver won’t connect through Bluetooth to my phone either. It used to. On the latest firmware also. TX NR-636. It was nice enough when it worked but you need to update your tour app!     HT-RC360
    The App works great. I can adjust sound and change input in another room. It automatically found my HY-RC360 with no problems. My HT-360 plugs into my router. Show more

    Use to work ?
    I’ve reprogrammed my 636 several times over the past two days. It works for a short while then crashes again and again. Last couple programmings show a strong WiFi connection, Remote3 still won’t connect to my phone or pad. Show more

    Recent update broke me
    I use the USB wifi stick and I have a 609 model. I stream from a miniDLNA server. Whatever was done with the updates 3 weeks ago killed this app’s performance. It’s almost unusable now. Show more

    Basic functions
    Basic functions like on/off and volume controls should be static in the main screen and larger for ease of use. Other functions like treble and bass levels should be selectable. Onkyo really needs to build a user community for their apps so that users can weigh in on how they function. Show more

    New update onkyo app for iOS 13.1
    I been using this app with my TX-NR709 AV Receiver for years! Now it will not connect! Tells me receiver needs to be in stand by mode. It is and has always been in stand by mode! I want my old app back! I had updates turned off! It updated anyway! How do I make it connect! It don’t even read the IP address. I have done all asked that app says! Reboot router, turn on receiver before app and everything else!! Please respond! Show more

    From Bad to Horrible!
    App was barely serviceable before the recent upgrade. Dropped WiFi a lot requiring a reboot of the unit. App always had to ‘find’ the unit if you moved away from the screen. NOW it barely holds an airplay signal. Onkyo get it together ! This is horrible. Very very frustrating Show more
