I paid for the first version of this that had no subscription. I had plenty of different sounds etc. I have successfully avoided updating for many months now and happily continued to use the older version. I pressed update all apps and I now have the new app that has a subscription. A SUBSCRIPTION FOR AMBIENT NOISE. I do not want to pay $14 a year. I want my app that I ALREADY PAID FOR BACK. Please tell me how to get the old version. I lost a ton of sounds and I think it's completely unfair that I don't have access to what I already paid for. Show more

The main thing I like about this app is the fact that you can blend sounds. Campfire on the beach? Check. Rain and thunderstorm? Easy. I really enjoy Noizio, but like others here, I purchased this app as a one-time purchase and now that they’ve transitioned to a subscription model it seems they’re not honoring my purchase. The subscription model wasn’t part of the terms under which I purchased the app though. I will change my rating of this app back up to a 5-star if my original purchase is honored. Show more

Well, I loved this app for background while working and use it everyday. I'm not happy with the fact that the app changed to a subscription and now the money I spent is a waste because I can't access any of the purchased content. If you wanted to switch to a subscription, you should have created a new version or left the purchased items accessible. This is not acceptable. Show more

There is no bundle purchase on Mac and I don’t understand why I need to pay the same sound for twice, one on iphone and the other on mac This is an updated review. The move to subscription hurt, I had already paid and now I am stuck. I cannot update or move to another computer. Sorry, you lost a customer.

I used to use this app every once in a while when it was totally free. No more free ride. It's definitely worth supporting if another option were available but a subscription is a bit over the top. Show more

I am a student with very little income at the moment, and this app does help me stay focused as I am studying. It can't drown out all noise - a good pair of noise cancelling headphones would be better than using my AirPods. But still, for what this application offers there should be no subscription model. I would pay $5 for the app, but I cannot keep paying that over and over and over again just to play a sound. I can go to YouTube and play hour long tracks for background noise that is just as effective as this app - it just adds a little bit of convenience to have it right there in the menu bar. I have been reading a book called "People over Profit" - and this app has clearly chosen the "Profit over People" approach to business. Very sad. Show more

I previously made purchases and enjoyed this app for my writing business and schoolwork. It’s been a lifesaver when in a noisy environment or someone or someplace is playing terrible music when I’m trying to edit. I open it up today in that exact situation, hit play, and when nothing happens I’m shocked to see a button saying "GET THE FULL ACCESS” and discover they have transitioned to a $1.99 PER MONTH subscription model. Are you actually kidding me here? It is completely unethical to negate previous app purchases and attempt to force people to subscribe. Also, $1.99 is WAY OVERPRICED for something like this. Get real. Do some market reserach. I already bought this app yet these app developers just apparently have no regard for their existing customer base. This WAS something I happily used for years, but apparently there’s no gratitude from these devs for that. No email, no notification, nothing, just sudden demands. If you had offered a sunset window or even allowed existing customers to grandfather in, even with a reduced set of features, that would have made more sense and shown some courtesy for everyone who has supported you so far. Instead, you just slapped the faces of everyone who’s been loyal to you. Terrible business model. Whoever made this decision on your team should get some more training on how to deal with customers, because this is not the way. I would have been willing to consider a subscription but after being treated like this, that’s a HUGE NO from me. Terrible business model. There’s so much competition in apps that you cannot afford to treat customers like this, because guess what—there’s 10 other apps who do what you do and probably won’t treat customers like numbers. I paid for the premium version of this app which included multiple sounds. The seller then released an update removing most of the sounds and is now asking for a monthly subscription. This is crazy. Apple needs to ban the developer for this. Show more

When I first paid for this app it has well over a dozen sounds which was one of the main reason why I bought the app. The recent updates have locked all the sounds except for 5 under a 'subcription' paywall. Subscription!!! really ??? I want my sound back. Show more

I was an early supporter of this app, and I've paid a one time fee. How surprised was I to have an automatic update switching me to a subscription model without any notice or bonification, after all, they just took back something that I already paid. DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP! Show more

I was a paid user of the app; an automatic update deleted all my saved mixes, took away features I had been using for years, and it will cost me $24/yr to get them back when I'd already paid for a (understood at the time to be) permanent license? No thanks. Show more

This app does exactly what it claims to do and no more. It's a simple white noise utility that just works quietly in the background.

Purchased this app a little while ago and had a few dozen sounds and then the app developer decied to make me pay for the old app AND now wants me to pay monthly. The process is completely insane and I am going to be reporting and requesting my money back. Terrible! Show more

I like this application but the latest update doesn't recognize my subscription, which was very recently purchased, and repeatedly prompts me to enter my password to purchase sounds I should already have access to. I can't even have this software open now without repeated requests to log in and purchase. Show more
