Amazing idea and controls etc. For both, Tanpura and Tabla. Sorry to give a low rating because only C# tabla sounds good. Others sound pretty bad. I love to use this app for my riyaz and look forward to future updates with improvements. Show more

I just bought this, and it soundss soooooo bad at different scales. I hope the developers fixes this problem. It is really problematic

Not a real professional sounds there. Machine modulation from key to key. App also has no 432Hz tuning. Be ready to get a toy, not a really helpful app.

Unless you are a male and have a good upper register, the free version is useless, as only C# Shruti is available. App also crashed as soon as I opened it. Aside from that the sound quality was nice though! Show more

Hey! I really didn’t like this app. I am a kathak student and my teacher uses the premium version of this app, but I don’t want to spend more money for something that I only use thrice a week. I don’t have the premium version for this, and the version that I currently have is not very helpful. It only had a handful of beats, so you need to purchase the premium version to get the rest. Plus, you can’t change the tanpura and the scale unless you have the premium. I don’t recommend this. Show more

Excellent App. I have been looking at various tabla app for iPad and getting the right sounds and tuning that is in sync with tabla shruthi to play with vocals and instruments has been a challenge. The free version has only a few basic taals with no variations. But the ones there are a joy to play with. Also note that the free app does not support inter app audio and AU. But does run in background. In spite of many limitations, which may be by design constrained in free version, I am rating this 5 stars as the best free tabla app. Yes intrusive ads are frustrating, but once the tabla is playing it does not intrude.i felt it would be remiss if I did not write this review to give the app the credit it truly deserves. The tabla sound terrible. Needs major sample upgrade. Get iTabla Pro instead.

Love all the various versions of the taals. It would be even more amazing if there was some kind of an intro/filler/ending similar to synthesizer keyboards. It would make the stanza endings/song endings sound even more real! Hope, the developer will notice this review and maybe give some thought into it! :) Show more

Without the great sound and functionality of that app!

Great app, great sounds, great introduction that gives an opportunity to try before making in-app purchases - all ruined by full screen advertising. I get that developers make money from ads, but this is ridiculous - in-app purchases, bottom of the screen ads AND ads that cover the entire screen. Greedy. Show more

Great and affordable Tanpura/Tabla app. Only features it's missing are a fine tuner for a pitch in case your instrument is off (flute or Harmonium for example), and also some of the town parade drones are on a lower and of the octave available, would be nice to have higher tunings available as well. Some more Taals with different instruments, the tempo of tanpura also should be on the opening page or automatically adjusted along with tabla tempo or taal selected. Switching to different taal with tahae for improving lai and taal together. Show more

Some taals sound very different than what they are supposed to or written, for example, rupak taal. Also, some taals don't have the bol written. Other than that, minimalistic and neat. There is room for improvement Show more
