Esthetically perfect, and works like a charm. I'd give 5 stars if you could "heart" songs and add to playlists from the app. Clicking on Silicio does take you right to Spotify for this purpose...but the whole point of Silicio is to keep Spotify (or other players) in the background (where they do not take up real estate on the screen). I love Silicio, as anyone does, but why on earth is there still no sidebar widget for newer OSs?? It would also be cool if there was a way to place it into a hot corner shortcut, like how quicknotes are: maybe a better snaptool integration or something. Show more

I was looking for an app that would minimize Spotify and work with iTunes too. Silico is perfect for that, offering different sized players as well. Great app!

I love this app! Makes listening to music on my Mac SO much better. Thank you! Please add "like" and "add to playlist" functionality. And, please add the ability to see the player only when we hover over the little menu icon up top or hide it in our wiget sleeve to the right. Those few things would make this app absolutely perfect and I'd be more than happy to pay for them in a one-time payment - maybe a "premium" feature...Thanks again! Show more

Wait wasn't that Windows Media Player with it's cool skins which i miss to this day. Big flashy bulky skins are not currently all the rage so I'm going with Sliicio and their perfect display. So similar to that famous painter who painted the iconic piece 'Paint on Canvass'. If you do not love Silicio then you are Sillyicio. And if you do not like Silicio then you are insane or Psycoilliicio. Try it. You'll love it. (Tiny p.s. It would be nice if there were volumn controls in the display. You know for when you go from a soft quiet opera to Billy Squire's Greatest Hits.) Show more

I've been flummoxed by Apple Music and some of its inscrutable design choices, like having a MiniPlayer that does not display current track information. You can view track information in that miniplayer for what's up next, but not for the current track. Whaaaaa? Seriously, WHY? This app allows me to view that track info along with the album art, which means a lot to me and my heavily curated private music collection. I give it only 4 stars though because I would love to see a little more capability of configuring the player to my liking. Namely, I would love to be able to view Composer as well as Artist and Song Title. I use the Composer field quite a bit, not just for my classical selections, but also for my nature sound files, which I listen to a lot. I'd be willing to pay for a premium version of Silicio that had this feature! Show more

I like to have a small miniplayer up on my second monitor, and since Spotfiy doesn't offer this, Silicio does a great job. Simple, few options for sizes. Good stuff.

This app is perfect!!! It's so easy to control my music while i'm working on something else! It's so easy to use and so helpful. Love this app

This is an indispensable app. I use it every day and keep it in the dock... but also have it open when starting up... works perfectly on both "Music" and "Spotify." The presentation is very flexible and so thoughfull... one desktop or all desktops, 3 sizes for the album art, on top and anywhere on the screen. AND.... the developer is so fast with help... i'm totally impressed. Show more

I've been using this for over a year, and its great for controling Spotify. But the recent update crashes over 1-2 hours. Please fix this. UPDATE: Jan fixed this very quickly. Makes me love the app even more. Show more

I've had nothing short of a great experience with Silicio. Album artwork has become mostly overlooked these days and having the Always On Top feature pleases my soul. The global shortcuts work always without fail. Good stuff. Show more

Not much more I can say, it works great. Would be cool if it worked with other players like foobar and vlc though so I could play flacs with the art up. Show more

Does exactly what I've always wanted, it's such a perfect app. I hate how big the spotify player is, and this keeps it just enough out of the way.

I switched from my  Bluetooth keyboard to a fancypants new mechanical keyboard. While the new keyboard does have media controls, it requires me push a function key first to access them so I have replaced all that business with just using Silicio to both control music via a global shortcut and I love having the always shown artwork above my other windows. New song notifications are also just great. 12/10 would reccomend. Show more
