I personally like to use MiniPlay over competition (even Silicio) due to its inclusion of a volume slider in their Today widget. The Today widget is the only way that I use app, so it's a bummer that it doesn't work anymore on Catalina. The player doesn't show artist name, song name or even load information from Spotify. Although there was an update to fix this last week, it hasn't changed anything for the Today widget. Hope the bug gets fixed soon! Show more

Does everything I need it to do to work with my streams. My only pet-peeve is that when Keep Window In Front is checked and the app is closed. When it reopens, it remains checked but it doesn't remain in front. Forces me to go into the settings again. Other than that, it's exactly what I needed and I've been using it on my twitch streams for quite some time now. Thank you! Show more

This app is actually very useful, however just recently it has stopped showing the title and/or the artist... Can you please update and fix this issue?

I like it. It works as advertised. I wish it had an option to put status and play/pause in the menu bar. This addition would make it GREAT and worth 5 stars IMO. Show more

Works great, but the float window on top never seems to work properly, which is a huge pain for me. Other than that, it's 5 star app!

Ever since Catalina this app has become riddled with issues. since updated to 10.15.4 it is broken again. This app used to be excellent. but no longer fits that criteria since that is largley neglected by its devs Show more

I love this app, and the look it brings. Looks seamless with the iOS look and feel, and dark mode makes it better. Support for Catalina did take a long time in my opinion, but it came and was very happy about that, hopefully a Catalina-like icon will come next. Some things for the future: - Maybe a theme that adapts to the color of the album art, that would be cool, like the ColorFlow tweak on iOS - Add a section for lyrics, and time-synced lyrics on Catalina - Up Next section maybe, AirPlay controls Show more

Only plays apple music. Doesn't play spotify

If they had a menu bar icon I would give five stars. Otherwise great!

I can't get this to work with macOS Catalina (10.15) and Apple Music. Propabaly is coded to work with iTunes (as opposed to Music). It looks like the last update was a year ago, before Catalina was released. Show more

I loved this app, but I miss it on catalina, as it doesn't support the new apple music app.

Just switched to this from Silicio because it wasn't updating when the song changed in Spotify. I love it! The only improvement/feedback I have is that it would be nice if you could hide the dock icon and just have it show up in the menubar instead, in the upper right next to the small bluetooth and wifi icons. All I wanted was my spotify album atwork to be on my sidebar because apple wouldn't support. Thank you so much :)

iTunes works perfectly but the lastest updates to Spotify seem to have broken Miniplay's album artwork functionality.

It's a great app but It's still having problems with the artwork...
