I own all of them (guitar sims)
This is the one I use now. Very simple, but great. Just is a pleasure to use. I'm getting rather turned off to these amp/fx sims which sell you about a hundred stomp boxes, all of them pretty weak, with snazzy graphics. This one is just to the point, and to me, sounds the best. Thanks Show more

    New Review Update
This is an Amazing app! The presets are dope and the sound is legit rite away unlike several other apps! If your bored with the other apps you really need to try this! I was shocked at the depth and width of the tones! Previous review was negative because I needed to switch the input from left to right! Show more

    Sounds like hot garbage.
I bought this app because of its great reviews. As soon as I opened it I got the nastiest non musical feedback ever. I tweaked the noise gate, played with the levels, etc. and nothing worked. I'm no noob so it's not like I missed something obvious. If I did miss something let me know, I really wanted this app to work like everyone else says it does. Show more

    Not able to use.
I thought this was an app for my mac. So, after purchasing it, I went to go open the app and of course nothing happened. I then saw that it was only for iPads (which is of no use to me). I’m sure the amps sound awesome, so I still gave you 5 stars! But, I just won’t be able to use this app unfortunately. Is there any way possible I could receive a refund? Simple mistake. Thank you in advance! Show more

The best sim in the App Store.
I've tried them all and there is no comparison, it's not even close. Amp One is better than Tonestack, Bias, Jam Pro... I absolutely love this app.

    Buy it, you wont regret.
Please buy the app to support the developer so that he could bring us more in future. This app is just amazing. I had experience with a lot of guitar softwares on PC or guitar multieffect hardwares. Have to say this app is piece of art, the sound quality is comparible to line6 pod HD and way better than other guitar effect apps (ampkit, tonestack). Though there are only countable effects and amps in the app, but it sounds just right compared with other apps in which you can get tons of useless crap effects. Like the other reviewers, I emphasize that this app gives you the dynamics of real amps, not exact 100% but still enough to comfort your ears. The app also works well with audiobus which means that you can use pedals from other apps such as BIAS FX, tonestack or others to tweak the tone in amp one. Show more

Excellent for New metal, power metal etc.
Since 2010 I have tried every guitar VST's (pc only) never found something like this in a software. I was searching for my personal tone to start making my songs and play live . I'm glad to finally do it. To me this app is exactly like having a kemper profiler amp. But those are very expensive, $2 grand. I love power metal like dragonforce I have a Ibanez RG series and sounds just brutal. This where the best 10 dollars that I have expend. Waiting for updates thank you very much. Show more

    Realistic sounding amps!
I pretty much own every iOS guitar amp sim out there, including all the big names with everything unlocked and i must say that this app really is up there with the best ones. I really like the tone and versatility of BIAS FX but this Amp One app also has some really convincing rich sounding tones and nice responsive amp simulations. Especially good for rock or metal tones due to the selection of amps that it offers. The price is definitely worth it and i'm happy to see a Krank amp for once since those are missing in the other apps that i own. The E530 also sounds awesome and packs some serious punch. The cab simulations are useful and so are the chorus, delay and reverb fx. Everything is highly useful and there is nothing gimmicky about this app. It's the real deal. Highly recommended app for musicians that are on a quest for good iOS tones :) Show more

    Hallelujah baby!
Very nice. Smooth, saturated and full of character. By the way, that panning your getting is the chorus mode. I+II swings the stereo.

    What an awesome guitar app!
I happened to come across a page recommending Amp ONE which I had never heard of but the reviews were totally positive. I downloaded the app last night and am blown away by how realistic Amp ONE sounds! Killer emulations, all configurations on one screen, multiple options for tweaking… I love this thing! Kudos to the developer for putting together one of the best IOS guitar apps I have, and I also use Ampkit+, BIAS, Tonestack, etc. so I do know what is available. For $9.99 don’t even think about it, just download it! I look forward to more updates to see what else gets added to this already awesome app. Show more

    Amazing Sound
Very very cool app. I love the sound. Only problem I have is when playing through headphones, the app does this weird panning thing between the left and right headphone. Doesn't happen at all when I play through an amp. Headphones, all the time. Kinda annoying. But still a great app Show more

    Superb Sound and Tone
Only complaint is the latency issues I'm getting with audiobus otherwise best amp sim ever!!
  • SyndicateSix, 09.02.2015
    Great Potential!
So far, this app is great... I can dial in a sound that is almost identical to my E530 live set up as well as the Recto. I run this in Audiobus so I can use effects from another app into a DAW. I am really hoping to see an expansion of this app because it would be absolutely killer. Looking forward to seeing presets that allow for channel switching and effects on/off... Show more

Most natural / best sounding simulation yet!
From the nuances of the emulated preamps... to the simulated cabs that respond dynamically and feel real... this app rocks!!! Now I would pay top dollar to see this as a plugin option AU/VST for use in my DAW. I own all of the amp sims out there... Revalver, Pod Farm, Bias, JamUp, Amplitube etc etc.... and I use various tricks in cab replacement. I forgot to mention the included effects, there are reverbs, chorus's & delays... And the options within are many! And they sound natural... Anyway... I would rate this as a must have! Runs flawlessly on my iPad mini 2 iOS 7.0.4 Show more

Guess it's all a personal thing
Here is an initial review to help out. I hope. On IPad Air Guitars used 1995 USA Strat plus 2000 USA Telecaster Will play something with humbuckers later. Through headset and then a Dr. Z Maz 18 tube amp Now to my info. I own about every Ipad amp out, from Bias, Jamup, Ampkit, Tonestack, THD on Auria, Flying Haggis, and the others that are not worth mentioning. Along with almost all in apps purchases. First off. I love tube amps. Only amps I have are tube amps. I know none of these apps will sound as good as a nice tube amp. These apps are nice to play around with when you can't lug a heavy amp around. Now on to this app. I see a lot of reviews saying this app sounds better then the others. I just don't hear it. I think "Bias" is the best for just amp sound and tone; flying Haggis was ok, but it's off my iPad for now. I love tonestack, ampkit, bias and jamup. All for different reasons. So I can say one is better. If I had to have one with effects, it would be Tonestack or jamup. Tonestack is great, but jamup works nice with bias. Both are well worth it. I fear "amp one" will be deleted after I have fun with it a bit. I had to get it. I don't think it sounds as good as the ones I listed. It ok, an ok contender. Not my first pick for tone, for sure. For clean amp only tone... Bias... For pedals, tonestack or jamup. I find bias sounds better then jamup even with the same amps in jamup. I mix bias with a pedal set through audiobus or one at a time as my mood fits. Just don't hear any great tone with "Amp One". I say save your cash. But... If you're like me you will get it just to see. Still nothing like a good tube amp and some old pedals with history to them. Hope that helps. Keep playing. Revision after a day of playing; Ok, after some tweaking, I have to say the tone is very good on Amp One. As far as tone goes, it ranks right up there. Just a few improvements are needed for this to be of worth. As stated by others.. A noise gate is needed. It's good for the price, but I don't like the pedals as they are. They should be easier to turn off and on while playing. If this makes sense. As of now I have to scroll up and down to turn pedals off and on.But all in all, for the price, it's good. Show more

    Impressive, but...
The sounds in this app are superb. You have a lot of control over your tone and I was amazed at the total lack of latency. There has to be a little latency in there somewhere but it is so small it's imperceptible. The controls have been a little difficult to use for me. I'll have to swipe at a control a couple of times before it moves. This makes adjustments on the fly in a live situation pretty difficult. You have to be precise with your fingers. The amplifiers represented have some amazing high gain sounds but unfortunately this creates a lot of hiss and buzz. Without any kind of noise gate, using this live is a problem. Recording with it there are workarounds but it would be nice to simply have a noise gate included in the app. It really needs it. I have heard there are problems with older iPads but I am using an iPad Air 1 and all amps are working fine. Because of the noise and the lack of noise gate I can only give this four stars. Even with the control issues I probably could give it a five star review if it only had a noise gate. Show more

Outstanding amp/cabinet emulation; needs a few fixes tweaks
The sound quality of this new modeling app is outstanding. It is very tube-like in fullness and response, and the reverb is one of the better ones I have heard. The Marshall, MESA, and Blues Junior III models are terrific, and despite there only being a small handful of amps, several of them have mod switches, so they can do clean or dirty with a lot of EQ variation in between. However, the programming that emulates the circuitry of these amps is probably CPU-hungry, and the developer indicated iPad2 or higher. I have an iPad2, which is now a pretty old device, and it does run. Well, except for the EVH5150 amp, which does not work AT ALL. The audio crackles and cuts out almost no matter the setting. So, hopefully, there is something that can be done to optimize that a bit, since the other amps seem to work reasonably well. This app seems to take a unique approach to amp modeling, and the workflow is as accessible as something like Flying Haggis, except focused on the heavier end of the amp spectrum. I have really enjoyed my early time with it thus far, but time will tell if it is practical enough on my device to reliably do AudioBus/IAA recording. Also, the app is missing a noise gate of any kind, which is a problem that should be addressed. Using a guitar with humbuckers does alleviate the noise somewhat, but some of the heavier models definitely suffer from noise/hiss. Overall, this is a great 10 dollar addition to the iOS guitar lineup, which is causing us to be increasingly spoiled. Fix the EVH5150 and noise issues, and my review is 5-stars, without question. Perfect amp simulation
The amp simulation in this app seems to be seriously superior to any other amp sims on iOS as far as I can tell. It sounds much more realistic when comparing to the real amps then, for example Bias. It doesn't have much stomp boxes or lots of amp models on the list, but the way amps sound in this app simply makes it unique. If you are looking for a best amp sound, you should really give it a try. I did, and I'm very impressed. Great start! Waiting for updates. Show more
