This app seems like it is cool, and well made, BUT I will NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER be ok with a subscription model for anything that exists in the realm of virtual commodities. I rent tangible items, begrudgingly, but renting software and features of software is absolutely ridiculous, and I think it is absolutely criminal to hide your app’s entire desired feature set behind a NEVER ENDING paywall. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Thanks anyway! P.S. For a look at a better app with a better model, check out Loopy Pro. Buy once, keep the year’s worth of updates and bug fixes. If you don’t want to pay for the following year, you keep what you have already paid for. Pay for another year and get another year of the fixes and features to KEEP. It’s very much more fair to the consumer and without the developer(s) feeling like they are losing their shirt, just like nearly any commercially available ( or PC based) DAW (Reason, Bitwig Studio, Ableton Live, etc.) and it is the furthest I am willing to dive into the idea of renting a virtual commodity. This app is great, I’ve made some fun songs with it already. But most of the synths are behind a paywall and I unfortunately can’t pay it. However even without those premium features it’s still good. You can easily download your songs, there’s hardly any limitations melody wise, they have a decent library of sounds like vocal chops and build ups. But my favorite is that they show you what note you’re playing on the side bar. Overall great, would be better with more free features. Show more

I got Medly about 7-8 months ago and I loved this app ever since. It really helped me create music like I always wanted too. It fits all my needs to make a song just perfect. I even got my friends to download this app as well and they also love it as much as I do. I don’t have any complaints about it and I love that you can still have access to many things without member. I’d wish I had a little bit more access to other instruments instead of just starter and sapphire pack but it’s honestly ok. I make it work. You do a fantastic job working with this app. However, some glitches to occur… I have to refresh the app sometimes because it mutes some instruments that I didn’t even turn the volume off on. And it also freezes my entire phone sometimes. That could just be a me problem but I thought I’d let you know. Also the glitches don’t happen too often so it’s all good. Have a nice day! Show more

So two big issues for me are in standard vertical mode the top bar with done and other options is too high up to interact with on my modern iPhone. Seems to an aspect ratio issue in the app. I managed to work around that by turning my phone horizontal The bigger issue is Want to add a 26 second vocal track but it seems to only let me put 4 seconds or so in at a time (one box worth) there might be a way to do what im trying to do but if so it’s not clear and it certainly isn’t intuitive like a good app should be. If these issues are solved for me I’ll update review but otherwise probably going to cancel after my free trial Show more

You have to pay to make anything but a simple beat

Hi, this app is absolutely amazing but there’s one problem that ruins parts of a song. The starter audio “Exhaust” starts to play a little bit too late when I export it, so what sounds good in the editor doesn’t sound good when I export it into something, can you please fix this? I’m sorry about the title. But it’s for a reason. You see, when I used the free trial for Medly Premium on my sister’s iPad it was fun… for a bit. Then unfortunately I was bored. Super sorry. Maybe add some stuff to make it easier for beginners and yet still fun for pros? Show more

You have to pay for to much of the stuff

I understand it’s an ecosystem and an excellent one at that but I would like some more connectivity. It doesn’t show up as an AUv3 on any of my other apps. That being said it’s really very well put together and truly the first DAW that’s actually intuitive! Finally, what’s up with folks calling it a game? Is there a first person shooter in there that I’m missing? :-) Show more

IM TIRED OF USING THI APP, SO PLEASE MAKE AN UPDATE WHERE IF YOU BUY MEMBER ACCESS IT DOESNT SEND CHARGES TO YOUR ACCOUNT. IF YOU DONT HAVE THE UPDATE BY NEXT WEEK, I WILL DELETE THE APP AND NEVER BE A PRODUCER AGAIN. SO IF YOU WANT ME TO CONTINUE, MAKE THE APP NOT SEND CHARGES TO YOUR ACCOUNT PLEASE.
