Boom will choke the volume of your audio even when toggled to off. It certainly gives the illusion that your Mac sounds way better with it on but it's just a trick to get you go buy it. Global Delight makes the uninstaller difficult to find on their site but when you do find it and remove the extension you can clearly hear your Mac is restored to its original output. It's all a deceptive marketing trick. Don't ruin your Mac audio. Apple isn't bad at this kind of thing! They are famously good at it. You don't need a third party "enhancer". Show more

Kinda where I need it. Wonder why it's an option in the App store for iPhones. Good on mac, not good on my iPhone. Happy/not happy.

Downloaded the app after seeing the good reviews as I am looking for a software to improve my Mac's audio. After opening the app, I was shocked to see that I was already subscribed to a free trial, and that said trial would automatically renew when it ran out and charge to the credit card in my Apple account. Of course, I did not want this as I only planned to test it out, but upon going to my subscriptions in my Apple ID settings I could not find anything to cancel or turn off. After getting fed up and deciding to uninstall, I was met with a tab that claimed I needed to download a new app from the company's website to uninstall. This seemed sketchy so I forcefully uninstalled through another application that I purchased from a legitimate company, removing all traces of this app. So, I have to warn others: DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. The terms are vague and uninstallation is near-impossible without following really sketchy links to download suspicious software. Just do yourself a favor and AVOID. There are better paid options out there than this. Show more

I getting tired of this not working, freezing, and making things even worse. I'm dissappointed I spent the money on it. IF it works, it only works for specific applications and is not a universal fix. Look for a hardware solutuion and not a software solution. Skip Boom. Show more

If you choose to download this you better be positive you intend to use it forever, because that's how long the coding will remain on your Mac after you decide to uninstall it. Go into the terminal and delete the coded route for this 'device' all you want, it will reappear and as the default audio device next time you reboot. Horribly frusttrating. Show more

Removing Boom 2 frm your system they insist you need an uninstaller that requires your system password. Super sketchy since you can drag it to the trash and it's gone.

The installation required add'l download and installation that would not work on my M1. I tired for 8 hours to contact support and never received any reply. Then had to download an uninstaller to get it off my system. Total dissapoinment. And it forces you to subscribe before the trial starts. I canceled that, hope I don't get stiffed. App will not unisntall. You have to run another software for that, that is only available in their website. I've tried ten times already. App is still there! I try to send a message on their website support page. After sending, an error mesaage appears saying "try again". PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS AND ANY OTHER APPS FROM THIS DEVELOPER! Show more

This requires that you download unapproved software from their website to remove it.

I think I have bought this app twice as I had to buy the updated version. The first version was simple and great. Whatever played through my computer speakers I could alter audio settings and the sound would change. Now it wants to drop the file of every song I listen to and has CONSTANT ADVERTISING which drives me insane. The app used to be simple and useful and now it is complex and greedy. Show more

I have had this app for years now and I couldn't imagine not having this app. It truely will change the way you listen to your music. I got the lifetime package and by far the one of the best app's I have ever purchased. Amazing easy to tinger with all the different settings and it keeps getting better. Love this app, makes listening to music and watching movies on my mac such a joy. I wish their iOS app was better. Would 100% recommend. Worth the money.

I just got off the phone with Apple Support and we were able to determine this app was causing the internal card reader on my 14" 2021 M1 Macbook Pro to fail to recognize cards. OS 12.2.1 Show more

after 5 attempts I was finally able to uninstall as I couldnt use with apple music that I was able to easily find. bummer.

Worst support ever. Since upgrading to Monterey, the app is requiring me to enter my license code. The lost license code form on their website doesn't work and they do not respond to email. For me, this has been a waste of time and money. Show more

Cant recommend this highly enough. Greate for level control when you have some sensitivity mismatch in your system. Equalizer will take care of any wonky DAC/amp/speaker issues. Cant hear the equalizer if I have it set flat. Very nice! You can fine tune the sound of your speakers. I am a voice/vocal guy so I like a forward midrange without boomy bass or harsh treble. Even better I have to go to lower volume at night. I can set a loudness profile to retain the sound I like at lower volumes. Phase information well retained. Imaging and soundstage preserved.The speakers disappera and the sound comes from the center of my monitor. I have a modest system for my desk - Audioquest usb dac, fossi class D amp, Klipsch R-15M. Did not like the Klipschs - big sloppy bass and was going to return them. Boom2 tuned them up just fine and I am going to keep them. Show more
