This was not tested with iPad Air. do not buy it until they fix it. Wasted 20 Bucks.

Once I went to iOS 9 on my 1G iPad Air Attack Drum no longer loads! Tried deleting and reinstalling but no change.

Not working with ipad2 and ios9 any help would be great?

When you get a chance, please update The Attack for ios9.

Crashes In app, uninstalling and reinstalling and the error is always the same. The app works for a while and then closes for no reason.

I am a hardware synth guy but like making music in bed. This has the potential to replace some of my hardware drum machines, I wrote a bunch of cool songs in it but they are trapped in there until they do midi sync. I keep waiting for it everyday. Until it gets it, two stars. Show more

This app needs MIDI sync and remote start/stop. It has so much potential but fails in usefulness. The opening animation needs an option to disable it. Huge waste of time and always causes lag when opening. I feel this is subpar for Waldorf. Show more

I just hope that they get the bugs worked out.

Edit 2: MIDI sync is an essential feature of a drum machine, which is lacking here. Once this can sync and has better MIDI support it will be a beast. Let me preface this by saying I've been looking forward to this app for a long time. I love the VST version, and this has the same amazing sound with multitouch control. It is really a dream come true. The sound is very, very good. I wish it had more MIDI control setup so I could set up an external controller but I hope that will be part of future versions. Update: apparently there is no midi sync functionality at all. A drum machine with no sync in or out is useless. Like I said, the sound is great but it is useless without sync. Five stars to one star level issue. Show more

How frustrating! Display on my iPad mini is scaled incorrectly, and I can only see a fraction of the controls. I’d love to give this a good review, but it’s impossible for me to use right now. Show more

The app sounds very good and you have a wide range of controls. If you use the presets with the text vocoder you can figure out how it works. The ability to loop seems to have been left out and it's not clear how much midi control you have or how to sync it with other apps. Definitely have to read the manual to get the most out of this one. Show more

start screen is a mess. love Waldorf. want this to get better.

The sound designer page does not work at all on the iPad2. Fix this please or it is useless for iPad2 users. I realise the specs do not explicitly specify support for iPad2, but this is the first music app I have bought that does not work on the device (or indeed an app in general). Their much more powerful Nave app works fine. Maybe the coder was drunk the day they wrote this ;) Show more

I'm usually a fan of Waldorf's products. This product in its current state is unusable for me. I was excited to hear that the were making an iOS based drum synth.Unfortunately, main page doesn't fit on the iPad mini and the controls that are visible don't work. This product should have been QA'd a little longer before being made generally available in the AppStore. If the current UI issues are resolved, then I'm sure it will be the gem that I was hoping for. Show more

Needs work with loop length. 1 bar is criminal! You can't loop songs either. So your left making a song of what you would have just looped, having to press play every time it ends. The synth is great. So great that you won't believe how they could make such a glaring omission. Show more

I'm more prone to like synths more than drum machines...but this is a drum synth and more! Sounds great and so far works well on iPad 3 running latest iOS. If this had better MIDI functionality and could export MIDI patterns I'd give this a five. There's not much doubt IMHO that Attack could become the best iPad drum synth! Show more

Really disappointed … buggy with crashes and general sound problems … seemingly released way too soon without enough beta testing. iPad 4 running iOS 8.1.3 should not be an issue. Will now just wait to see if it all gets fixed and hopefully change my review. Also please put out some tutorials like maybe a making of "all I am is digital". Show more

My only two complaints... A one bar loop is not gonna cut it...period...at least give us 4 bars or 8 bars. (That'll give you a fourth star) And just 16ths? Most of today's music require 64ths...(5 stars) Along with all the other bug fixes :). I know you will fix these things in time...so I will fix the review in time Show more

Seems to work just fine other than the main screen... Yes we know it's iPad 3 retina compatible.... But all other functions work... And as a very proud owner of Attack 1 PC this Attack ......it sounds remarkable...I can still make beats... Turn off pad velocity in settings.. I won't be getting an iPad 3. Anytime soon so this will do for now. Show more

Working perfectly (except the copy bug which already has a fix on the way) on my Air 2 w/ latest OS. No crashes, no editing problems - just pure synth drum heaven. Show more
