    The best
Honestly, I love how this app operates. I started using it and out of the blue I started to be able to sing harmony. Something about these types of exercises is unique and extremely valuable. Show more

Great Way to Learn to Tune A Violin
I have been trying to learn to tune a violin in perfect fifths. This is accomplished by using a reference pitch to tune the A string, then tuning the other strings in perfect fifths, playing two strings at a time, while listening for the beating to disappear caused by competing frequencies, until finally the frequencies are in the right ratio, causing the beating sounds to disappear. This has been hard for me to hear on my violin. This game however has definitely trained my ear to be more sensitive to this phenomenon, and my tuning ability is steadily improving. I am sure I will acquire this skill soon, thanks to this app! Show more

    Works pretty well
I wanted some practice with intonation for tuning in band, and this definitely helped a bit. There was someone who said that their sound didn't work, but mine worked just fine so just make sure your ring noise isn't silenced to try and fix the problems. Show more

    No sound
Apparently, you are supposed to move your finger up and down the screen until you match the original sound. (?? That is, I think that is the goal.) Anyway, there is no sound. I have my volume turned all the way up and my sound is on, but no sound comes out of this app. Show more

    Fun, unusual app
I haven't found any other apps like this. It's a lot of fun to use, and really helps with learning to hear beats. It's clearly a great pedagogic tool, as I improved rapidly. On first trying out the app, I could not hear beats and was way off in calling the perfect intervals. But with a little practice, I could really begin to hear when the intervals would slide from beaty into just. That was over the course of about two or three days. It was a great use of a couple hours total to get to the point where I could create just intervals within a few seconds. What I would really like now is an upgrade that would identify the number of beats per second upon listening to an external sound source. I wonder if this app could be modified to include a feature where I could play two notes on a piano and the app will indicate how many beats are produced. I would pay $25-50 for such an app. Self standing beat counter devices sell for $250 or more. I've been looking for a more affordable beat counter for a long time. I can imagine how this technology could be applied to identify beats rather than just produce them. Show more

    Band Teacher
Great app for teaching/hearing just intonation. Suggestion- 1. A way to set parameter of tones (most of the examples I listened to would be too high for students to discern) More low note intervals please! 2. Different voices that more closely resemble an instrument rather than a sine wave. 3. Ad-free version with paid upgrade. I'd pay $1-3 for the app if it had some of those tweaks. Dislike- sometimes I get three stars for being +/- 5 cents whereas other examples its on two stars. What are the guidelines for scoring? Show more
