Amazing Piano, But Drains Your Battery
I absolutely love the piano sounds. You can’t beat the quality from an iOS app. But this app drains the battery even when you are not using it, because it seems to constantly run in the background. In the last 10 days, I’ve used the piano for 2 minutes onscreen. It has been running in the background for 214 hours, and accounts for 70% of my total battery usage! Please update this app so that it’s not running in the background destroying my iPad’s battery life. Show more

    Clean and Responsive
Coming from an iPad and it’s mobile. It’s had a nice tone. The fact that you can make minor adjustments is a big plus. Pricey but you pay for quality. UVI sounds always come through for me. Would have gotten five stars until I tried using my ModX as a controller. When I would touch midi in, it would crash. ??‍♂️??‍♂️ Show more

My current favorite acoustic piano iOS app
I play solo jazz piano gigs, as well as band gigs with my jazz combo and my church’s praise team. I own other highly rated iOS piano apps such as Colossus, CMP, and Korg Module Ivory. To me Ravenscroft has the most genuine sound across the range of the keyboard (88 keys). My only complaint is that there seems to be no way to call up presets using midi program and bank numbers. Personally, that would be very helpful to me during live gigs. Show more

The best piano in the history of keyboards.
Raverscroft is the dream of my life, made real. I was betting that someone could never match the piano sound. I still can not believe.

    Absolutely Incredible!!! Get it!!!
I am absolutely blown away! This is the most inspiring piano I’ve played. I own Ivory 2 which cost over $300 both the full computer version and the iOS version and have been thrilled with Ivory but tried Ravenscroft 275 after reading a good review and I’m so glad I did! I would appreciate it if They would make volume and preset controllable through MIDI. I experienced a couple audio glitches when using it with Auria and Audio Layer with a beta version of iOS 13 and hope these are will not be an insurer in the final release version of iOS 13.1. No upright piano? Baby grand?
I really hope you add these later on. These were two pianos that are missing from this app to blow all others out there. CMP Grand Piano did it for pretty much the same price with a lot of tweaking options . Show more

A GREAT piano with just a few tweaks and a solid controller
I’ve been working as a professional keyboardist full time for about the last 15 years, the last 7 of which with daily access to a couple of uprights and a grand piano. On stage I use Roland stage pianos and most recently the Yamaha Montage. In the studio I prefer, pianoteq. In the early days, it was okay, but now the sound has caught up with the modeling tech and it remains the most responsive digital piano that I have access to. All that to say this, at $35 there is little to complain about concerning the Ravenscroft IOS product. The full version of this or any other piano plugin cost almost half as much as my ipad! TBH, Initially I enjoyed this product but ran into serious technical trouble that made me want to look elsewhere and give up on an IOS based keyboard rig. Here are a couple of things I’ve figured that have made the Ravenscroft more than usable 1)use AUM...this will allow you to get under the 256 buffer limit in the stand alone version 2)this plugin demands a sample rate of 44100 16bit. Change it to anything else in your host app and it WILL detune the piano...and worse :-( 3) It eats up CPU (e.g. on my 2018 IPad Pro 11”) like crazy...loading another plugin in AUM at the same time evidently balances out the processor load and makes it run smooth—even at 128 buffer. Don’t give up on this plugin or developer! This is a great piano! (Pair it with a good controller though...critical...I really like the Korg D1 right now FWIW). Show more
