i tried to page between the files, mark the silence gap, delete the silence gap, but all your software wants to do is play the beginning of the file.

To be fair, the developers were quick to respond to my suggestions, and most of the features worked, but many dialogs seemed poorly thought out (e.g., batch processor--10 steps that should be 1), some terms were incorrectly translated (feels like a beta still--in their words, OS X is "in development"), but it certainly isn't any better than the open source or much less expensive digital editors (Amadus Pro). The deal breaker for us, and just one example of poorly thought out routines, is that for every file you open it caches it, at double the size (we deal with 50g a day). So if you have a 1 hour 44.1k file, simply opening it immediately uses 180M (the original and the cache--~/Library/Application Support/WavePad). They are only cleared when your drive has 2g available (!!), or 28 days. That could crash your OS. Yes, you can manually clear it, by digging into a dialog. But the whole App has similar flaws and poor design. Others were: previous settings were not default when repeating a dialog (strip silence), keyboard shortcuts often don't work, columns don't resize in bookmarks, redundant actions, and useless feedback (trim auto shows "progress 1 progress 2 progress 3", but they don't change in any meaningful way. They say they will fix them soon, but as I said, it just feels like a beta. Show more

This was a great app until they made the save feature part of the master version only. You could spend hours editing a file, only to not be able to save it afterwards. I do wish they'd fix this instead of telling us all to send them a message. Show more

I purchased the full version of this and the NCH video editing software years ago. Since Catalina, i can only access the free version. I have contacted NCH a half dozen times and get no response. This used to be a good company. Show more

I like some of the editing features - very easy to select things and quick to perform fade outs and filters. I used to be able to save as AAC and now they want me to pay $99 for an upgrade to do that, so I gues I just learn to do it in another app. Show more

i quit. it asks me to save. i click yes. everything goes normal. prompts me to pay. a whoppin’ 99.99?!?! forget it. you'll never get that NCH software. i advise everyone who thinks this is free to forget about it. why dont you just come out and say it in the description?!?! Stupid greedy THIEVES. apple should not allow this. Show more

I used this App for a year or so, and then with the last update, which was forced on my computer, the App oddly refuses to let you use the “envelope” unless you pay $99 now and then.. It seems to allow “Envelope” use randomly even though it does not say “Pro” version only on this function… which seems strange… it’s like in the early days of computers, people would put annoying “pause” functions on free software just to annoy people who don’t pay right away. Not sure if an upgrade occurred and what exactly messed this app up but won't let me save any edited mp3 etc files-- i use it to help with my transcription when the files are poor--usually sound only in one ear so the surround sound on this is great for that but i can't afford to upgrade to the masters version esp if i'm not even sure this will solve the issue. Disappointed will look for other audio editor apps that are free and will work for me. Show more

I have been using this app for the past year, and it has helped me and my music so much. You are able to tweak so much into your own audio, I really suggest for you guys to go on the pro version it is worth it. I hope they do update though, and add more features. Show more
