    Destroyed my recording
    Ever since up grading to macOS Catalina and thus unknowingly losing use of Adobe Audtion (thank you Apple) I have been searching for a decent audio editing app. I downloaded from a Micro SD card a one hour church service. I started editing it and all of a sudden the app crashed and wiped out both the editing work I had done and the audio file from the Micro SD card. That was the only recording. Yes, I should have copied the original file and edited that but I have never had a program eat a 84.1 MB file while trying to save it to my iMac before. What it did was save it as a 195 byte on my iMac and the Micro SD card. So two lessons learned. Copy then edit and never ever use WavePad Audio Editor again. Show more

    Used to Love it But Now It Doesn't Work
    This worked great before the iOS update. Now it will open and appear to be working until I try to save my project. Then I get all kinds of error messages because something in the code isn't working with the latest iOS updates. It says that Apple can't check certain files for malicious software and then it just freezes the app. Before the iOS update, I was receiving a warning from Apple that the software needed to be updated. I emailed NCH and was told they were aware and were working to get it updated. Now several months after the Apple update and this is STILL NOT working! Wasted money on this program and it's frustrating. Show more

    Need full version to save files - costs $99
    I needed to edit a small file to amplify the audio volume. Worked well. The problem is that I can't save the edited file without upgrading to the Mastes Edition for $99. I tried every available save option, but each option led to dialog saying "The feature you are attempting to use is only available in the Masters Edition version." - and that costs $99. Show more

    Going down hill quick
    Used this app before and paid for the extra. Downloaded the app again and had to pay for the update then still dosnt work. (“mp3el4” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software) They say they are working on the problem and having a hard time tring to get my money back. Mean while I guess Ill just sit and wait for them to get another update. Show more

    Promising, but not ready
    I just wanted to take an MP3 file recorded by my voice recorder and split it into sections. This program is not capable of doing that basic task. There is no ability to export a selected piece of audio to a new file. The workaround is to copy the selection to a new file and save that. But saving doesn't work. Instead of getting a new file, I get a series of warning messages like "libavutil.52.dylib can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software." I got about ten of these pop-up warnings in a row and then the software starts begging me to share my thoughts about it on Facebook (which I don't have) in a big yellow box. I'm sure the programmers will blame Catalina for the problem, but it's not like they didn't have six months to figure this out. Bottom line: If you can't save your work, then the program might as well not exist. Show more

    I rather enjoyed using Wavepad to record auditions up until this last update. I even paid $70 for the 'masters' version and now I can't save or open files because they've neglected to update their service to comply with the new IoS. Now I have to find another audio editing service. Now to see if I can get my money back for this crap. Show more

    Waste of time, demo program only
    So, I edit a wave file for an hour, having read others reporting fail to save wor, and yes, I could not save my wave to a MP3(only 10 minutes of a 3 hour wave file). And I lost the edited wave file as well. I am sad I didn't look at more reviews. Save yourself heartache and sadness, move on to another companies software. Show more

    Not intuitive, buggy
