    Won’t setup my AVR anymore.
    Since the last update this no longer connects to my AVR. It shows up in the detected list, and on airplay, but it won’t setup in the app.

    Constant problems
    This app is always difficult to use. It’s slow, things don’t load fully, often doesn’t work at all. I can’t think of one time we’ve used it without an issue. Needs a major upgrade and bug fixing. Show more

    Total Garbage
    The worst app I’ve ever had to use. No exaggeration. It’s like you’re on a Mac classic. The MOST base-level, generic, phone-in development I’ve seen in a while. Dubious functionality. Horrible on the eyes. Show more

    Needs a modern update!
    This UI is so outdated. How about some color and a change to make this App fresh. Very slow and sometimes unresponsive.

    Absolute Garbage
    The app has always been buggy outdated crap. Now, all of a sudden it won’t connect to my Receiver even though it finds it in the Detected AVR list. You click it and just spins forever. How do you not have a QA person at the very least making sure it is functional. Now it’s just useless and spent hours trying to get it to work. It does not work anymore! Show more

    About a week ago the app stopped working. Is there a bug fix, update, new app forthcoming?

    Troubling App
    Will this be app be fixed - after the recent iOS updated, I cannot get the app to connect to either one of my Receivers.. it has worked flawlessly for the last couple years. I hope they get around to remediating it. Show more

    When it works its... fine
    When it doesn’t work, which is frequently, it’s a hair-pulling nightmare. Updating my apps (HEOS/Marantz AVR/Denon AVR) eliminates receivers’ AirPlay functionality until a hard reset is completed on every. single. one. of my devices (iPhone, iPad, WiFi, receivers). Talk about a mess. But that’s just one of the issues. Right now, the app is completely baffled. It thinks I am playing music through Zone2. I’m not. And because the app thinks I’m playing music that way, it renders itself useless. No control of the receiver whatsoever. Marantz/Denon are historic companies that have provided quality products for a long long time. That’s not true anymore. They now offer terrible customer service, struggle with technology integration, and build receivers that play music in a disruptive fashion (think, 2 sec pauses when changing songs). In short, stay away from this company if you can. If you haven’t— you might just be stuck with an abomination of an app. Here’s to hoping they’re acquired by an organization with some decent software capabilities in the near future. Cheers!
