The App works great with IPhone, AFTER, you connect with the USB cable and set your radio to USB. At first I was connecting Bluetooth, I could play music, but not connect to radio App. Connect USB, works flawlessly on IPhone 8. Show more

There are no control features... -It does not step though the head unit set-up screen. (Language/date/time) -No Volume control (other than phone volume) -No Fade/Balance controls -No EQ controls -No display controls -No color customizations controls Like the other reviewer suggested, why have this when the phone’s music player does the same thing. Won’t connect. Very hard to navigate Not a great app

All the functionality is there but the interface is absolutely terrible. Come on, make a better app

So when I received my new Kenwood deck I realized that it didn’t come with a physical remote. After seeing that there was a app available for the remote I got kinda excited. After downloading this app I have had to send back both of my Kenwood x702 deck’s because of USB error messages that would come up when connecting via usb and I thought it was related to a defect in the actual receiver. I then call Kenwood USA tech teams do come to find out that they don’t even use the remote app because of how terrible the operation is??. So I uninstalled this horrendous app, plugged in my lightning cable and it finally connects to usb!!! After unplugging and replugging my usb cable repetitively it connects with flying colors with no problems. Oh and to 100% make sure it was the app causing the usb error problem, I reinstalled the app and got the same usb error message from before. Then uninstalled it again and still have zero problem connecting to usb. Show more

I actually thought this was a remote for my stereo but basically your music app controls what’s playing and the volume this is a waste of space!

Could be a great app but, the app takes a min to connect and then crashes as soon as you try to do anything. Going to uninstall and reinstall because it did work for about 20 min. Show more

I got the app because the usb navigation is a pain and I was hoping to use the app to be able to navigate my higher quality music file through the app like a media player. Since it doesn’t even have a way to navigate the media on the flash drive this app is pretty much useless. That and it’s intermittent on actually connecting to my head unit which is a kdc-bt340u. Great head unit though just a disappointing app. Show more

It’s a nice app and works fine but it really serves no purpose. All it does is the same thing you can do on the music app itself: control playback (skip, pause, play, etc.). If you need to open this app on your phone to control the music, why not just open the music app itself? I downloaded it because I was having trouble with the bluetooth connection on the receiver (resolved now) so I was hoping the app would enable me to update the radio’s firmware to see if that would help. I could find no way to do that. If the firmware is user updatable, that would actually make this app useful. Show more

Can only get local music and am and fm. Where is my sources for Sirius pandora etc?

This app is useless. Does not do half the things it should. It is an afterthought farmed out to a contract developer with no more than basic skills in app developement. DUMPING any Kenwood app on my iPhone. And probably avoid Kenwood products on my future hardware purchases. Very disappointed I went for the best priced unit...you get what you pay for. Show more

Just doesn’t work, the one time I got it to work I wasn’t impressed, very dissatisfied, look for my KENWOOD deck on eBay, and I’m gonna go in a different direction.. lol Show more

If I could give it zero stars I would I’ve tried both of the apps in the store for Kenwood receivers on my boat and they don’t work

Failed to connect no matter which mode I was in. Multiple app and unit restarts, installs/uninstalls, nothing helps. At least head unit is solid and has been trouble free for a year now in hot California weather. Mostly Bluetooth usage. Show more
