    Great AU FM Synth; also works in standalone mode
    Bram Bros now has 3 excellent AU apps with the addition of Phasemaker to their Ruismaker and Ruismaker FM apps. Phasemaker is a melodic instrument based on 6-operator FM synthesis, and it comes with about 100 varied presets. It's primarily meant as an AU instrument, which means it should be nested inside an app like AUM or DAW like Cubasis or Auria. But kudos to Bram Bros for recognizing that sometimes you just want to noodle around, so you can load the app by itself and use a MIDI keyboard to play the notes. FM synthesis is more powerful than most people remember, and Phasemaker is a deep yet accessible instrument that takes advantage of all that brass, bells, and bass. Well done! Show more
