Love the app but the past few days I haven’t been able to load onto it. It just shows me the icon when I click on the app and sits there until the end of time. Also random crashing when I was using marching percussion instruments. Show more

Nothing much wrong with the mobile version of this. The main problems are just the inability for songs that last longer than 2 minutes to load, or glitches in the music that restart or stop the music. The biggest ones are the amount of battery it drains and the constant long loading times for scores. Show more

I used the app for a couple days, and then after a bit I got off and then I got on the next day. That day it wouldn’t load at all, if there’s a bug, it would be great if you’d fix it Show more

It is so easy because on the computer you use the keyboard and a touchscreen there is this piano

This app made every last note in my score staccato with absolutely no way to reverse it I absolutely hate this app it ruined hours of hard work over a stupid glitch if u I used literally any other app this wouldn’t have happened. Show more

This app is great, I love it, but I wish the sounds were realistic. I play French horn and that sound on the app just sounds very edited. All this app needs is to make the sounds more realistic while incorporating the styles as well, that’s all. Good job, people who make Flat Show more

Like I can’t go 8 seconds without messing up on piano and it only shows you how to leave DO NOT GET THIS APP IT IS TERRIBLE

This is the third time I’ve tried to leave a review and they keep disappearing before I get a chance to push send ! there is no tutorial to teach you how to use this app. there are lots of help cards to teach you how to use advanced functions of the app but nothing how to teach you how to use it in a basic way. first I couldn’t figure out how to put two notes in the same place I found that by mistake. but there is no tutorial on how to do it. there is no help in the community because there seems to be no way to talk to anyone in the community just a way to post music. Every time I get to the end of a bar that I’ve written it adds a new bar with a couple of symbols I don’t recognize and a bunch of rest that I don’t want in the music. I cannot figure out how to get rid of them when you try to delete them it simply deletes everything you wrote and leaves the things that it added without your permission. as a result I cannot make this app write out a simple drumming exercise so that I can repeat it. I also could not find a way to get it to repeat the notation as most songs repeat the same pattern many times. Attention developers if you want good reviews for your apps you need to show people how to use them ! Show more

This is not for lay people. It asks you what your level of knowledge is and it doesn’t consider it at all. Don’t use

Heya everybody! This is my review in flat, which has been an overall great experience! For a little context, I’m a songwriter, and I’m actually published on Spotify! And crazy enough, I’ve written almost all my music on flat! I really love their layout, style, and controls (it’s very easy to learn, if you experiment with it enough) and plus the premium features are great! Of course, I’m a flat power subscriber too, and I totally recommend it if you’re like me and you love to write songs ALL the time and EVERY day. To all of those people who looked on the App Store for music writing apps, I certainly recommend flat! It has great sound quality, musical accuracy that other apps can’t compare to, awesome editorial features, and a wonderful community full of wonderful people, and every single one of them I’ve seen is not toxic, like other apps that even have a social side, like this one. Musescore 4.0 is by far the most efficient, easy, and accessible score composer I have ever seen. This app isn’t bad, but if you have a computer, Just use Musescores score-composing software instead of this one. You won’t regret it in any way. Show more

I love this app and have used it for a long time by now. However, my biggest problem with it is that the "repeat x times" option doesn't work as it should. If you set it to repeat 4x it will repeat for 5. Whatever number you put it to repeat it'll repeat one more time than it should. This gets really annoying when wanting to listen to the playback. I didn’t take a star away but one problem is one of the songs nearly Killed my iPad.

Even though I prefer Musescore on my laptop, my laptop died a tragic and probably painful death. This is great for writing some music down quickly. It’s easy to use and is a nice fluid transition from idea to music. Great on the go also. Even though some instruments are premium only, I can arrange and write music for my future clarinet choir project with me and some video editing because I’m lonely and have no friends. This app has some great sounds and the payback is excellent. Lots of features that let you dial in your groove. I’m using the app to write parts for a percussion workshop. So far it’s been a great help in creating parts that I would have had a very hard time creating on paper. I purchased the pro version for $10 a month and it’s worth it. Overall, I’ve have a great experience with this app. Show more

Doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a musical genius, this app is perfect to compose. They keep updating the sounds, it is so easy to write down your music. I find that other software is quite difficult to navigate but flat is definitely user friendly. Additionally I have run out of battery while writing a score multiple times but thanks to the way Flat works you’ll never lose what you wrote, it saves constantly. The sound quality (not all instruments and also depends on your subscription/ purchase) are amazing to play around with and it keeps getting better and better. It’s so easy to access flat from a browser or from the app. Nothing you can’t do. And so many things I’m constantly discovering new things to add. 10/10 would recommend! Show more

EVERYTIME I get a call or leave the app once it won’t play the music and I have to completely close and reopen the app EVERYTIME!! And not only that some instruments won’t play and others with it varies each time! I was just using Flat for a few weeks, and I was kind of busy for a few days. When I opened Flat again, it said that my account had been disabled and all my files and scores were deleted. Thankfully, I made copies of my scores before, but it’s still feels really bad when all your things are deleted. Please fix. Show more
