    Nice way to switch...
Does exactly as described! I see now that it will show a hollowed icon when disconnected.

    Super Buggy with Big Sur
This has never been perfect, but it's particuarly buggy with Big Sur. Clicking on the menu item no longer reliably connects / disconnects airpods. Moreover, it says it's connected when it isn't. It says it isn't connected when it is. I used to really love this little app before Big Sur. Show more

Fail to connect to Airpods a lot
Most of the time I try to use this, it fails to connect to the Airpods. It's much easier to connect via the bluetooth or sound menu items. Not sure what the point of this app is. Maybe it makes some scenarios better, but if you're just switching your Airpods between your phone and mac, it doesn't work well Show more

Fixed my Audio Issue on Shure True Wireless
My Shure true wireless earphones were studdering a bunch while playing through the default mac connection. I enabled the high quality audio setting and now they work perfectly. Plus it makes connecting easier. My only wish is that I could make a second icon for them for when I need to use the mic. I'm using a Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2014 which only has bluetooth 4.0. Show more

Greatly improves usability of Airpods on Mac
This is a great app, it makes much more convinient to joggle my two sets of AirPods between my macs and mobile devices. It's especially convinient in complex settings.

One of my top favorite mac utilities
I love tooth fairy. I use it with my airpods, bose QCs, and a work headset. Regardless of the product it pairs with, the app works well. I've recommended ToothFairy to a few friends as well. Absolutely worth a download! Show more

Really like it, one quibble resolved
I want it to launch at login, which is good, but the problem is that a dialog box with app preferences always launches along with the app and i have to close it or cluttler my mission control with that. Don't need that to launch just the app itself. Otherwise works well and is useful. Thanks to the developer! Update: Developer responded right away with suggestion, immediately resolving issues and none other since. Thanks! Show more

    Simple But Useless
I have airpods that are paired with iPhone and Mac. Tooth Fairy makes it 1-2 steps easier to connect to the Mac but everytime I do it with Tooth Fairy the connection is B-A-D and the connection repeatedly drops. Lot of promise but wholly unusable. Show more

    Broke my bluetooth - uninstalled
Spent about an hour trying to makle this work. Had two devices that worked fine. Could connect, disconnect, etc. Installed Toothfairy to make swithing devices easier - very big mistake. Two hours later, after reading manuals, trying lots of stuff, had the same bad juju. 1. Try to connect a device - it looked liked it was connected in BlueTooth - no sound. Check system prefs, looks like device is connected - no sound. 2. Reboot (5 times) - turn OFF Toothfairy - same symtpoms 3. UNINSTALLED this junk - reboot. All works now. All I want now is a refund. I use Toothfairy every day
I use airpods all the time. Toothfairy lets me connect to my mac as needed for Zoom calls. Later I can quickly switch back to my phone. Helpful manual too.

Must have if working from home
I am constantly switching between Zoom and other apps on my iPhone, iPad and Mac so my AirPods are in constant use. ToothFairy makes changing audio sources incredibly quick and easy. Show more

Doesn't work with Airpod Pro and Mojave
Don't waste your money, this won't solve the inane Apple screwup of not letting Macbook Pro users actually use their Airpod Pros with Mojave 10.14.4. I've been an Apple customer for over thiry years and have seen them do some pretty stupid things but this is the most stunningly stupid thing yet. So I can use my Airpods on other company devices, but they don't work on my Macbook Pro, genius business plan there Apple, I'll either buy some other company's earphones or some other company's computer. Better sound quality? Not so fast
The app helps to connect devices more quickly and reliably. Instead of three clicks you need one click. Ok, whatever. But the feature I was excited about and made me buy the app and immediatly regreted have done it is "improve audio quality". When using the earbuds' microfone macOS steps down the output audio quality because it switches to older codecs. The app promises to mantain audio quality by "forcing the sytem to use newer AAC codecs", which it does, yes... but by disabling the earbuds' microphone, which is the same thing I've been doing manually. It doesn't force newer codecs to be used, it forces the system to not engage the earbuds' mic which is not what is being said in the app page, and for which I wouldn't pay five dollars. Sorry guys, I don't want to be so negative but seriously I don't know what were you thinking. Show more

    Better than DIY Options
I'm not a programmer, nor do I create many scripts or shortcuts, but when I need one I'll typically figure it out. In this case, I tried a couple different options that worked, but none as ellegantly as ToothFairy (love that name, btw). Worth $5. Show more

    not working
Hi, I have a mac pro 13inch (2017) and it will show the "connected" icon but th esound is still coming out from the computor, just like without the app. This hasn't changed my issue. Show more

    Almost Perfect !
Basically the developer didn't lie and the app does what it says - EASY Blutooth connections to devices. NEW FEATURE NEEDED I - a rollover feature that would show what the blutooth icon is linked to. NEW FEATURE NEEDED II - Custom icon / color (i.e. headphone, speakers) for blutooth icon in the menu bar Show more

    Fantastic!
I use my AirPods to take Skype conference calls while working from home and it's always been a hassle to connect and disconnect them from my iMac. With this app, it's become a breeze to quickly connect then for a call and disconnect afterward. Totally worth the price! Show more

Great concept, wished it worked as well for MacBook Pro
I have a 2016 MacBook pro and I heard about ToothFairy on iOS today. I read the good reviews & thought it would be a convenient way to conect my 2019 AirPods to my MacBook. 75% of the time I get an error (bluetooth) and cannot use ToothFairy to manage my headphones. It is NOT an issue wiht my bluetoorh or AirPods b/c I can manually mange them via Bluetooth (System Preferences) on my Mac. Great concept, not worth the $ for my Mac. Show more
