Ever since I discovered NTS it’s literally consumed me and become my life; I love the muzak & the live radio. ALL of their guest artist sessions are choice cuts and they always hit their mark, not once have they mixed with me! My only issues with the app are that done artists don’t update the track lists for their episodes and when I’ve requested or asked if/for a track list to be added to an episode (so far I’ve only asked on Twitter by @-ing them) and I haven’t heard anything back! My BIGGEST ISSUE is that I cannot rewind an episode, I will drag the time thing back and it won’t do anything, the episode will continue going forward without any pause and also the time will continue moving forward as well. This is very annoying as I have to select another, entirely different episode and then reselect the episode I was previously listening to and just wanted to go back a little bit in time with and then drag the time back to the relative location I had wanted to rewind to. Other than that, NTS F!*!CKING RULES!!! It’s so refreshing to hear such inspired artists and DJ’s of the electronic genres and subgenres; Boiler Room used to be super great until it became something only rich NY & LA people could afford to attend and that was a right by invite... Not open to the public, an exclusivity of which I believe goes against everything electronic music is all about. That and the fact that most Boiler Room sessions these days display people surrounding a prolific electronic artist who just stand around and don’t even dance... Don’t get me wrong, Boiler Room sessions are still amazingly wonderful but the crowd and is bourgeoisie exclusivity is sad to witness happening. NTS I believe actually pays their resident artists and DJs contrary to Resident Advisor not paying their featured artists and DJs... Also, NTS brings back the excitement, genuine inspiration of sound, and electronica excellence of the early days of the RedBull Music Academy which has also sadly gone downhill as far as overall quality goes. What I LOVE THE MOST about NTS is that it appears as though EVERYONE & ANYONE has a shot in making their own episode, it’s easy to apply to be featured on a station or to make your own episode and have it be featured somewhere on NTS. It’s truly a beautiful thing for artists of all capacities to be able to have such a shot like that within I reach. The other thing I LOVE THE MOST ABOUT NTS is that I FINALLY have somewhere I can go to to listen to QUALITY ELECTRONICA MUZAK THAT ISN’T DANCEY EDM DUBSTEP RIDDIM GARBAGE!!!! For people who are on the same wavelengths as I am when it comes to electronic muzak I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO ALSO CHECK OUT SomaFM for QUALITY ELECTRONIC MUZAK as well as Nicolas Jaar’s multi-genre internet radio station @ www.other-people.network By the way.... Hands down my favorite app ever, but I just realized that I’ve not been able to backtrack on episodes like I used to. What gives? I just paid the annual fee to support and hoped it would restore the ability to do so, but I was wrong. Please help! Show more

the app has an unfortunate tendency to lock up and refuse to resume playback when background sound stream is interrupted by another app on my phone. have to force-reboot app to resume and lose place in playback of archived shows, quite annoying. well thought out and easy to use otherwise. Huge fan of NTS and the app is a top notch version of the NTS experience. I’ve been riding around on my bike to stay active during the pandemic and most of the time, I’m blasting NTS on a Bluetooth speaker strapped onto my frame! I listen so much and NTS is so valuable to me, I decided to become an NTS supporter to give some back. The live tracklist feature that this unlocks is so so useful! I have been using it to build a playlist of NTS discoveries that I’ll want to further investigate another time. I do have one suggestion to the developers regarding the live tracklist: on the share sheet, when I tap the “search on Spotify” button, Spotify’s search often breaks when the search string contains a hyphen between the artist and track title. 95% of the time, I have to manually remove it to get a proper search result. It would be wonderful if the app could remove the hyphen from the search string before passing it along to spotify! One other suggestion! It would be fun if the next/prev buttons on the lock screen worked for switching between NTS 1 and 2 :) Ok, that’s all! i don’t really write reviews but i had to write a review because with this most recent version all of the problems in previous versions and more have been improved. best thing! it holds your place in a podcast when you exit the app and listen to something else. it’s so good. besides i love the NTS community. the music is killer and they have great taste Show more

Excellent music content, especially the themed streaming stations. Love the content. I docked one star for functionality - the only thing missing now is casting options (airplay, Chromecast, etc)

Fantastic app, great music. It would be amazing if support for my Google Home speakers was added. As it is now, I can’t connect it to my stereo system.

It’s free, there are no ads, and you have full access to the most brilliant library of music out there. What’s not to love?

I love NTS but the app will crash before I get to the end of a mix EVERY SINGLE TIME. Might be 5 minutes in, might be an hour, but it will happen. App just closes. Fix please! Show more
