Some suggestions: The chord picker can be improved furthermore. It would be nice to choose inversions for each chord. Also picking common chords from the scale would be a really great feature. About the note editor, the copy/paste function is still missing. Plus, a simple mixer for the internal sounds to adjust volume can really helps. Show more

This app is a joy to use, whether you want to quickly sketch out an idea, or carefully compose a full song. I can happily spend hours on it. The examples that come preloaded with the app make it really easy to get started. It may be my imagination, but I am noticing some annoying little quirks like occasional tone and volume inconsistencies after the addition of the multi-timbral sound engine. I would also like it if in arpeggio mode, there was a way to check what the available notes are at any given time. Using that mode sometimes feels like trial and error. Being able to see the notes would make chord selection easier. Addressing these two issues would bring the app back to 5 stars for me. Show more

This is a great writing tool that just keeps getting better. This app has gone through some changes along the way and is evolving in a good way.

This app is a great composition tool. Great for creating songs based on chord progressions. This update improves the sound quality of the internal MIDI player. I like the fact that it supports MIDI file export as well as its own custom file format. I am hoping that it will eventually be able to open/import its own MIDI files for a complete round trip. I use ChordFlow as a composition tool for arrangement and it is a lovely tool for the creative process. I’d give it 6 stars if I could! The app is regularly updated and the developer listens to support questions and comments. Whether you use this to control hardware or software synths, this is a must-have in your MIDI toolkit. The more I use this app, the more I want to use it. It has really rounded out to a complete package, and the workflow is top notch.. No more excuses for me. I can sketch out fresh ideas on the phone instead of wasting time on Falsebook, then move the files to the iPad or desktop later on. Show more

This has been a go to app for new in my workflow. I love how simple it is to get a chord progression going and then tinker with the arrangement by drawing on the screen. Very creative! The AudioBus 3 MIDI features open up all kinds of options for sounds, and I love that the app is universal so I can compose on the go with my iPhone. Highly recommended. Show more

Endlessly fun to experiment with, especially for those of us who don't have every chord cataloged in our minds.

This thing rocks at finding you new ideas in picking chord for new sequences does awesome on the progressions it comes up with the drawing part works good too draw your idea and listen to what it comes up with. Really have enjoyed this app for all it does it does very well. Show more

I have all of this developer's apps, each of which has a unique flair that I enjoy. ChordFlow comes out of the box with all kinds of cool features (Ableton Link, MIDI Out, a rich chord bank, etc.). It's very intuitive to use, and experimenting with different chords can produce rich textures of sound. I immediately thought of additional features I'd like to see (separate MIDI channels and start/stop control for each "track" would be so awesome!), but it's already a full-featured and very satisfying app. Show more

Great job with this app. It is intuitive, educational, inspirational and most of all FUN! From the moment I started the app up, it was a joy to explore. It has some built in sounds which got me going quickly. I then called up my own app GeoShred and it worked with ChordFlow like a charm!! Just have to go in to settings menu in ChordFlow and select the Midi out option and in GeoShred go to the Midi menu/Single Channel- choose Midi In and to listen to Chord Flow.
