    Amazing at teaching
Went from not knowing how to play to getting a good riff in within 2 days of practice. Very well taught and an amazing app

    Can’t use app
Idk what to rate this app bc I can’t even get past the limited time subscription offer page .

Wouldn’t let me log in to existing account
App weirdly has no way to log in to an existing account. Which is unfortunate since I have 3 months of lessons on my existing account.

    Amazing!
As a young guitar learner, I am astonished. If you’re reading this around the time it was posted, I got a guitar a couple days ago (December 24, 2022) and I’ve been practicing. This app helped me so much, I’ve already learned a few song. It is a little pricy, but remember, guitarists, your guitar might have been around the same price. I love the fact that some of my favorite country songs are on here, like Eric Church’s “Springsteen” and Lainey Wilson’s “Heart Like a Truck”. Great job Fender! Show more

Super great app for people of all skills!
So I would consider myself an intermediate player and I got a card for this app that came with my Fender Acoustic. So i decided to try it and it’s absolutely amazing! I didn’t think I could learn so many recognizable riffs in just a couple hours. My only real complaint though is the feedback mode. It’s a great system but it only works once and I have to close out the app to get it to work, which is a bit annoying. Overall, great app to learn not just guitar but music theory, and i know bass and ukelele is in there too! ez 5 stars Show more

    Beginner!
I’m happy all around! Nice content, structure, and clarity. How much I like the community aspect has surprised me. It’s a real plus!

    Fender for the Win
Since late 2021 the app has been updating songs, lessons and the user interface to make it one of the best apps to learn the basics of guitar on your way to living your guitar hero dreams. Keep on rocking everyone?? Show more

    I couldn’t use it
The App Store didn’t tell me I’d have to pay $150 dollars to use the app! I don’t have that money.

Erratic Tabs & Difficulty, NO LEFTY SUPPORT
Chords marked with decreasing text sizes and chord graphics are gone. Nearly impossible to read at a glance. Tabs jump all over. Trying to learn to play not read music. Repeats may save trees for printed music but are totally unjustified in electronic formats. Very frustrating how measures are shown three different sizes. Wildly changing degrees of difficulty from lesson to lesson add to the frustration. Some practices are too fast even at half speed, not many but some. App seems to be erratic about tracking your progress. Today I’m not getting credit for practicing. Updates to Streaks would be nice if they worked but are just as or maybe more unreliable as older versions. If I hadn’t paid for a year I’d probably be looking at other online tutorials by now. The Fender name isn’t benefiting from this app in its current form. Show more

    Payment
Why do you have to pay for an app for guitar when you bought a guitar you still have to pay for an app

    Keeps Me Practicing & Improving
I’m a 55+ man who once took lessons as a young boy who unfortunately quit when my fingers bled (sharp strings). Tried picking it up again in my 20s but work took over. Now, I have the time. The online, progressive, “bite size” approach intermixed with great riffs make Fender Play a no-brainer investment. Learning how to play while keeping the ‘ole brain healthy. Buy the annual membership; you won’t regret it. Show more

    App not working
I can’t sign in into the app. I’ve tried contacting support and it’s been about five days with multiple attempts and nothing. So far a bad start.
