Do you own an Apple device? iMac, iPad, or MacBook? Then you simply MUST get Boom3D!! Why pay $1,000.00 or more for a superb device as in my case (I own an iMac) that I paid almost $2,000.00 for-with 5k Retina display-without having fantastic sound to match the fantastic display? No reason that I can think of. And unless you can think of a reason, then pay the $20.00 and purchase this app.! The improvement on your sound system will be AMAZING!!! Show more

The app will not even launch - simply crashes every time I attempt to open it. They stole $20 from me. Don't be a victim.

I like this EQ alot. But when im scrolling threw my songs, it freezes? Idk why it does that?!

Really nice, intuitive EQ interface. Lots of fun jumping between the preset EQ profiles. My favorite so far has been Electronic Fidelity mode. I initially had some trouble with installing the system-wide audio component but fixed it with a quick restart. Cheers! Show more

2020-11: Still "broken." Pleeeeeeease fix this. 2020-10: After numerous updates from the dev, my copy still says that's it's expired. I interact with Boom a few times a day. This really sours the experience. 2020-07: Update Support says the App is fine and fully functional, but it's been weeks and no fix has come. It's annoying as heck to see—multiple times a day—as a paying customer, the prompts to buy and register the app I've alreay paid for. Original review: I bought this through the MAS. After buying a new MBP and migrating from my old machine, Boom now reports that my "trial" is over and prompts me to buy the full version. However, the app is still fully functional but there's no way to remove the button; even uninstalling/reinstalling does not work. To reply to the developer response: Yes, it was reinstalled through the MAS; I'll contact support soon. Show more

I sought this out for boosting the volume and sound on a Macbook Air. Specifically for when I'm watching video trainings and when listening to music. Works great, makes me happier. Show more

Amazing Tech

When I first got Boom3D, I thought it was great. It made my sound better/fuller, esp when wearing headphones. Since that time, though, it has crashed constantly. It goes nonresponsive, or worse, makes other apps nonresponsive. I am constantly force quitting it or getting "Boom3D has crashed" notices. I love good sound, but this is nonsense. I have literally stopped listening to music on my Mac and have switched entirely to iPhone so I can use a more relaible equalizer. Show more

I tried for weeks, tweaking every setting possible. Everntually, I couldn't get away from it: Boom3D drastically alters the sound of the music, and not necessarily in a good way. When masterfully engineered recordings and mixes that I've loved for decades suddenly sounded messy, confused, and unfocused, the 3D effect had to go. It does make many elements of many recordings more prominent... but those were in the background because that's where they were professionally mixed to be. I still appreciate the EQ, which is a must for my ears, but the spacial enhancement is a distraction and a waste. Show more

Boom 3D works with my MacBook's builtin speakers. But does not work with the homepod I just purchased. I tried to submit a ticket but the support page would not let me because it did not recognized my Mac's system information's .spx file. So I have not way to get support for this issue. I purchased this app for use with my Homepod. Show more

This app is amazing and makes my listening experience so much better. I have to give the developers credit. They know exactly what is needed to make the music "pop". I have tried other apps in the past, but nothing compares to Boom 3D. Do yourself a favor and just get it. You won't be sorry. Show more

So, I just bought a new set of Beyerdynamic DT-177x GOs, right? Well, I'm extremely happy with the separation and clarity, but I'm a guy who just came from years with the Beats line.
