The short answer is it is an excellent addition for controlling the pair of EV 30Ms we use in our acoustic duo and DJ service. A positive is that it works well with our iPad Pros. It usually links and is ready to go in about 90 seconds from powering the EV’s on. The downside is that it refuses to link to my Android Note 8 for PA control, although it will link for streaming Bluetooth music . Apparently that is a fix and function still coming. Show more

I notice there is a screen cap on the App page for the new EV EVOLVE30M column PA. I wonder if that means the app has been significantly improved to address some of the complaints about early versions of the app. It appears there are now volume faders for all channels on the app. Show more

Is good for basic setup for volume and eq but no individual channel modification ability and sub settings. Volume and eq is all so manually setup is still necessary

I have an Ev 50 column and I would like to have control over it from far on my phone. When you are doing Bluetooth playing music it’s okay. But horrible if you’re trying to control individually microphone and guitar for example. PLEASE update!!! and advise: look up at the Mackie Free play live app, it’s a great example of how you can have full control of your speaker from your mobile device. Show more

While using the app I have had my speakers drop from being paired and connected at least 10 times and will not reconnect and I’m only 5 feet away!!! Unsatisfactory!!! NEEDS AN UPDATED ALREADY!!! Already in iOS 12.1 and nothing Show more

I know this is a new feature/app, and I’m sure it’s a work in progress, but it needs some serious improvement. If you update anything at all, it must have a decibel number readout for the volume sliders and the ability to link pairs of speakers together within a complete setup, so you can adjust subs and tops separately. Also, the app is very easily confused and often doesn’t control the whole system volume consistently. Lastly, if you walk out of range, it “forgets” your settings and has no idea where you left the levels. Also, the peak warning doesn’t work for me unless I have the app open. Long story short, it’s okay dialing in the system at the start of the night...that’s it. Show more

Great idea in theory, but there is nothing preventing anyone who has the App from connecting and controlling your speakers. The only prevention that I can see is that only one session at a time is allowed. If you quit the app or it backgrounds, then someone else can discover your setup and control it thereby locking you out. Best to turn the control feature off until they update their products with something that allows pairing for the Control portion of the app. My Evolve 50’s do have pairing but only on the Audio streaming side. Sure, it’s a good start. But is rather limited in what you can do, why can’t you turn up individual inputs and “mix”? Still have to go to back of speaker to change most major settings (sub level) all should be controllable within the app. Show more

Works great, but would be perfect if we could recall the five programmable presets from the app instead of going to the back panel.

Wow what a great app! I love controlling my speakers. This is awesome!
