I am not in love with this update.
I was checking this app for an update before my person dive in production. Not successful because the previous track I had made did not play all of the file. Please respond back. And the update did not fix this issue. Now no sound at all in playback mode. Show more

    Wishlist
Love all 3 apps, they work very well together. I’m not knocking here, just adding a few features would be nice. Transfer projects in GB to another device (not WAV files to BW, although handy). Pre-roll when recording Copy/paste notes on grid Good stuff overall! Show more

    Perfect for creating while traveling
Actually enjoyed a five hour flight because I was absorbed with making music in this app. Super fun.

    100% Amazing
This app is everything I’ve been searching for. I can make music with a combination of whatever sound I like and mess with it’s pitch and more. Absolutely perfect.

    So much fun
I love this app so much. It’s so fun and easy to use. I keep creating new projects like about every day and I don’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. The song maker is a bit tricky but I’ll eventually get the hang of it. Thanks Amplify Music for making such amazing apps. Show more

    Brilliant, but...
This app is brilliant, and I applaud the developers for creating an engaging and versatile instrument. It would be super brilliant if midi out could be added. I have a gazillion apps I'd like to send my created patterns to. Show more

    Exporting stems / reverb
I love this app to bits. My only gripe is that I can’t effectively export my sections / stems and take them further in my desktop DAW. This is almost exclusively because when you export your project files, the audio only lasts up until the end of your last note, meaning that if you have any reverb or delay on your instrument, it’s going to get cut off. An option to put empty space at the end of the audio files or indeed to only cut them off when their signal hits 0 would be a HUGE game changer. Show more

    Groovy Release
As I told the folks at Groovebox, whilst nothing is perfect, this little gadget is definitely very close. One can let one’s mind wander into whatever space surrounds you… And further. It could be used as a great way to learn the various scales; however, even if the scales are already learnt, there is much fun to be had on this app. Just like in the studio, some of my favourite times are “happy mistakes“! Just cut loose and let go! It’s like a musical toy box for musicians…or the child inside us. Have fun! Show more

Much more than it appears to be
Linked with Bloks Wave this is a very unique combination. My best efforts have come from this set up. A desk top version awaits my experimentation…. I have high expectations

Not a toy, despite the fun looks
Yes, there are a few things that DAW people aren’t happy with yet, but as an intuitive synth interface, Groovebox can’t be beat. Writing sequences is straightforward and the recorded audio can be exported to use in whatever full DAW anyone wants. My workflow is to write short sequences in Groovebox then export them to Ampify Blocswave for further manipulation and inspiration. When and if the project starts taking form, I bring it into a DAW at home and finalize the details. Groovebox is a great tool in the iOS toolbox to be sure. Show more

One of the best music creation apps available
Prior to using Groovebox, I had zero knowledge of making electronic music but I did have experience recording and mixing within a DAW. Once I got started, I quickly realized that this is a powerful app - the ability to save settings is crucial to this. I never use the sounds out of the box, but instead tweak it to my taste. I’ve learned so much about the app, it’s beyond what you would expect from a phone app, it’s intuitively designed (such as the ability to make a section in two bars and then expand it to up to 8 bars, options for automating individual parts of the instrument, and the ability to export to wav). In fact, that’s what I was looking for when I found Groovebox was the wav exporting ability. One shortfall (the only one in my opinion) is concerning reverb/delay trails. I recreate these using plugins when I cut my mixes together, but I would like to have the following option: The user should have the ability to select the length of delay or reverb trails when exporting the sections (the length could be set for each project). So when exporting, the user could export for example an 8 bar section and then have the ability to add in an extra bar to account for the decay of the reverb/delay. This should be exported as a separate section, but with a naming convention like (Section 3 Trail, Minimon, 95 bpm). When I cut things together, I end up creating 5-10 extra seconds for each instrument with reverbs/delays and adding in these trails, so the overlap will be seamless. Now, I could export stuff without reverb/delay but I like the way the in-house reverbs/delays sound and I like messing with the automations regarding the reverbs/delays, so this is how I compensate when mixing everything down. This option would allow the user to set the decay times for the reverb/delay trail sections. Another really cool option would be for users to import samples that could be fed into the preexisting settings, so that you could for example take guitar chord sample and feed it into the poly synth. I don’t know it that makes sense, but it’s just an idea. I love this app, it reignited my creativity and enjoyment in making music. Keep up the great work. Show more

Great Sounds, Needs at least midi support to be a true workhorse.
I get that not everything can be AUV3. But if you guys could at least add general midi support so I could use this with some of my more full featured sequencers. If this had general midi and AUV3 though it would probably be one of my most used apps. I get the vibe of this app, but it could be a platform standard considering all the beautiful sounds it has. At least please consider re-releasing some of the modules as standard audio units. Poly 8 sounds beautiful. It’s just as an app, the workflow is clunky in the modern environment with the current plethora of tools available. Show more
