Garbage total garbage! impossible to connect with their instructions, its a puzzle that never ends. the description was like "hey do you want to listen to your own music through your Sonos speaker?" sounds so simle...guess again, DO NOT waste your money on this!!!!! Show more

This is a total waste. Entirely too many additional setup steps. If you are looking for plug and play this is not the app for you!

Mac Mini, 10.12.6. Downloaded the App, found the place to download AudioCast in the App instructions, downloaded the ZIP and installed it. Then I set the Sound Preferences on the Mac. Then I had to set the sound on the AudioCast App. The music sounds a lot better on the Sonos Play 1 than it did on the computer speakers I’d been using. The installation and set-up was not “simple, quick and easy”, but it did work at the end. One flaw - there is a second or so difference between movement on the screen and the sound - the lips move and then the voice plays. I have to think that the one star reviewers didn’t hit the right combination and need to play with the preferences some more. Show more

Unless you want to devote your life to playing music through Sonos, skip this app. Once you pay for it you're told you need to download the AudioCast audio driver, and the app tells you to click on the link to install it. But there is no link and I've been unable to find it anywhere. No response to my help inquiry. Sonos used to be so easy to use. Now they've got three strikes against them: 1) Can't play music from your phone anymore, 2) Removing support for older speakers so you have to buy new ones, and now 3) App you pay for that doesn't work and that doesn't respond to support requests. Sonos has gone from one of my favorite products to the doghouse. I would not buy another Sonos product. Show more

I have a Sonos : 1 and a MacBook Air. I installed this product and IT WORKS FINE!!!!! (surprised you there). BUT - if I watch a Youtube video and stream using Audiocast for Sonos, there is about a 3 second delay to the speakers and I am then out of synch with my video. Sent this to their tech support. But I don’t think their is a solution unless Youtube adds an audio delay. Show more

You need to download the Audiocast drivers once you install this app. I'm now playing live audio from my iMac Pro to my Sonos system and it works great and sounds great. Show more

This app does not connect my Sonos speakers to my mac. I would like a refund for the app.

Was looking for a way to live stream from my mac to my Sonos Play 1, this is not it.

I wish I hadn’t spent the money for this and read the reviews first!! What a sensless app.

i bought the app, thought with couple updates it will be better but nooooo, never worked properly the official app or the the sotubes (not perfect but still) works better

Apparently past users have had difficulty getting the app to work. It’s a bit fussy in setting up, but I’ve used the app multiple times to stream content from the web, and it works perfectly. It found my speakers, sends music to them flawlessly, and it hasn’t spontaneously disconnected. You can play YouTube videos, archived radio shows, and other content that the Sonos app pretends to know nothing about. If you carefully follow the startup instructions (which require installing a driver), the app should work. It is an essential addition to my Sonos speakers, which don’t do everything they should do for the high price you pay for them. But if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t read instructions, you’re probably going to end up saying that it doesn’t work. But shame on Sonos for making this app necessary! Show more

I very rarely leave reviews, much less negative ones, but this was a waste of money. The app doesn't work as expected (audio does play on Sonos system, but with massive stuttering issues rendering it useless) and a support request submitted on their website has gone unanswered for five days. Not even an auto-response. I tried downloading their special driver and all that jazz. No luck. I haven’t tried alternatives yet, but save yourself ten bucks and avoid this one. I wish I’d trusted the other negative reviews. Show more

Not impressed. This app will work sometimes. Live streaming will work for a few minutes to an hour or so, then it disconnects. I do not have the same issue with the Sonos app. Save your money. Show more

I wish it had been clear that the only way to use this app is by owning the content. I like to borrow files from my library and I do not have a way to play them on my Sonos system. I thought this would work for that. Show more

Apps need to be user friendly, every time I solve on issue, there’s another issue that pops up and or another need to download something else to my computer. The person who creates an app the simply connects our Mac desktops or laptops to our sonos systems will get rich fast! Don’t buy! Show more
