The app walked me through setting it up. I had it playing music from Spotify in under 15 minutes. I felt like the setup was straightforward. I haven't had any issue with turning it on and connecting to the wifi (it takes about a minute, as the instructions say it will). I'm sorry other people leaving reviews seem to be having so much trouble. We love this music player. My 15 month old hasn't quite figured out how to set the figures flat yet to make it play on her own, but I think she'll get it in a few more weeks (I didn't expect her to get it immediately, it's made for older toddlers). I haven't been able to get the voicemail feature to work yet; I'm going to update my os and the device firmware and then try again. Show more

I love the Jooki and so does my son, but the app is a flaming dumpster fire that os so frustrating and makes me filled with white hot rage. Adding a playlist through spotify works once in a blue moon, the other times I try to add a playlist and follow the instructions EXACTLY, it still doesn't work. I don't understand how they can create such a great tool for kids' music, but an utter failure of an app. And good luck getting help from them. Show more

... only thing that would make this better for us is if we could change playlists through app with login instead of Bluetooth...AND, more importantly, work with audible easier without having to do all the download and shuffling files work. Show more

It almost makes it worse that when this product DOES work it’s awesome... because that is about 20% of the time. It is incredibly frustrating. Huge price tag for something that makes kids cry. Show more

Our success rate is about 60% of the time we can get it working. The heartbreak on my toddlers face when I turn the device on and it refuses to connect to the WiFi for 20 minutes is staring to make me wish we had purchased something else for Christmas. This thing is not cheap - it should work better. Show more

This player is a great idea, but the execution needs a lot of work. It can take up to 15 minutes for the music to start playing. The UI in the app is buggy AF and it’s really hard to manage the playlists. I wanted something that my 5 year old could use independently, and this ain’t it. Show more

Same as previous review. Once I updated my IOS on my iPhone, the app will no longer open. So now it’s a big overly expensive Bluetooth speaker that I have no control of. I can’t put songs on the characters so my kids are upset. Not happy. Show more

As others have mentioned, the app was difficult to set up and it worked for a little bit but since I updated my iOS it will not open at all.

Jooki is exactly what I wanted: a bedtime music device for my toddler. Overall I’m very happy. The app is functional but not amazing. It REALLY needs some upgrades. For example, it would be amazing to be able to control the volume from the app. There are some frustrating elements of setting up the device and app, but I figured them all out in less than 20 minutes. Someone please test this on device and give the devs feedback for resolution. You can’t get away with simulator testing alone.

Seems to be very buggy. Will not connect to Spotify. Not easy to set up. Been 3 hours and I can’t get it to do anything but play the stock songs that come pre loaded on the tokens. Show more
