    Great App
Really Easy to come up with usable material on this app. Sound banks are nice way to start , quality sounds. Importing your own sounds is easy and fast . Crashes are not a problem on iPad Pro . Thinking of picking up hardware version for my computer set up ..Arturia never disappoints ..more sound banks please Show more

    Don't understand the bad reviews
I own a lot of hardware and software drum machines and imo the hardware is limited while the software is all the same, with piano roll style sequencing. This app is the best of both worlds. The included packs cover just about every genre, all sounds are tweakable in so many ways, plus you can add your own. Every instrument has its own mixer with great effects. Plus performance effects that actually sound professional. To have this in hardware you would need a drum machine with individual outs, tons of cables and mixer, effects units and a DAW. True, you can do all of this in a DAW, but the setup would take forever and the MIDI controllers for performance would cost hundreds. Only con, please add MIDI learn! I do use controllers sometimes but they're not really needed honestly. Show more

    It's good but..
I can't for the life of me figure out how to start the song or pattern over from the beginning. On most apps and gear I've ever had, the pause button stops the song where it is, and the stop button starts it from the beginning. On iSpark, both stop and pause seem merely to pause it in an identical manner. How does one start at the beginning? It is very annoying to have to listen to half the song from wherever the playhead last stopped before it can loop back around to the beginning every time. I have tried to search online for a solution, but not even sure what to look for. Show more

    Too many crashes
I'm a big fan of Arturia products, I own all their iOS apps and some hardware too, I use the microbrute all the time, so it pains me to write a bad review on this app. The app itself is great with cool features, but now it crashes far to frequently for me to consider using it for the most part. This Has Potential
I have never been a big fan of drum machines for IPAD but this one is the best so far. To make it great, please add some more acoustic drum kits and beef it up for rock music!! As a follow-up, i'm changing my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars. While it had a very good interface, I can't recommend it for rock music. If you want it for some other sound then it is probably good (e.g., electronica, etc). If you want great rock drums, go with Rock Drum Machine, Drum Loops HD, or Drum Beats. Show more

Oh and bring it to the iPhone!

    It's cool. Usable. Flexible. However....
There are some bugs in the system. It crashes. Auxiliary out doesn't seem to route to FX on some settings. 5 stars when fixed. Still a great app.

    What I been waiting for.
This is a wonderful app. But, it really needs midi learn. Great job Arturia! Now give us the Matrix 12V for iOS!

    Great out of the gate
Really great start, looking forward to future releases. A few things are still missing in my opinion but all and all really well executed. It even got me to go out and buy the Spark Le. Small wish list... 1. The ability to chop and assign different parts to pads, or at least copy a sound from one pad to the next. 2. Time stretch... Maybe the ability to force a sound to a key? 3. The ability to record the real time touch pad effects into the sequencer. 4. MIDI learn Show more

    Compatibility with desktop MIA
The marketing material for this app promotes its ability to exchange data seamlessly with the desktop version. After contacting support they said this capability would only be available in an update to the desktop version. That was a couple months ago and still no update. I bought this on the basis that I would easily be able to share projects between the desktop and iPad versions. Other than the false marketing claims this is a great drum machine. Looking forward to moving projects someday when Arturia finally release v2.3 of the desktop version. Show more

Cannot register this app via INFO page. Broken feature?
The following statement is in no way related to how iSpark performs as an instrument. It's just a little problem that annoys me (but probably not you). The problem is, when trying to Register the iSpark app, from on the app, by selecting INFO then Register, as soon as Register is touched, the INFO page closes. The iSpark manual entry for INFO/REGISTER says "This button opens a window with software version, the user guide directory, and a LINK THAT ALLOWS YOU TO REGISTER YOUR PURCHASE of iSpark with Arturia". It's that Register button that crashes the INFO page. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling a few times, but no success. This is installed on a new iPad Pro 12.9" 128GB. I'm putting this complaint on the app's "Reviews and Ratings" because, if you select the "App Support" button and "Report a Problem" button on the iSpark app page and review pop-up, you get the response: "Hmm, the page you’re looking for can’t be found". I contaced Arturia tech support, but they don't understand what I'm trying to report. The response from them was "Hello, IPAD registration is not available from the WebSite. On the other side, Apple provides us the email of users 1 time per month. Feel free to come back to me if there is still any problem or misunderstanding." Well, tech suppot, it's not available on the app either. This is not my first venture into Arturialand. I own the SparkLe controller, Spark 2 VST and expansions. I own the KeyLab Mini controller, the KeyLab 25 controller, and Analog Experience 49 controller, of course with Analog Lab. I own a Beatstep, MiniBrute SE synth and have bought and upgraded all versions of the V Collection. So if anyone knows how to fix this, I'd sure like to hear from you. If it is something I'm doing wrong on my end, I want to know. I understand that this problem has no effect on the performance of this app. It's just that if Arturia puts a feature or function in an app, I expect it to work properly. If it doesn't, they should fix it or remove it from the app. I have always expected quality and attention to detail from them. iSpark will still get 5 stars from me. I just want to register it with all my other Arturia products. Show more

    Awesome App?
Only issue I have is when I hook it up to my SparkLe it gets stuck on the Loading Kit... And I'm unable to use the iPad for I don't know saving my project. It's brand new so I'm sure they are aware of the bugs that need to be exterminated? ONELOVE? Show more

    MIDI LEARN PLEASE!
Excellent drum machine / sequencer. This might become my new favorite of the bunch. But I am really missing a MIDI learn feature so i can use it with my existing MIDI controllers, instead of feeling like i am being forced to buy some Arturia hardware to make that work :( Very promising app, please keep expanding the MIDI features and we might have a true winner on our hands here :) Show more

    Amazing
I have the Spark LE controller. I bought the app thinking this would be yet another "almost there, but not really" iOS music app. This is without a doubt the most positive music creating experience I have had on an iPad (been iPad user since launch of iPad 1). I'm sure the app is great on its own, but if you have a Spark LE you MUST buy this app! I am very impressed, and highly recommend iSpark. Show more
