The 80s tied up in a glorious DX7 bow
Get this now. That is all.

    Ya’ll Are Dope!
You make some amazing Music Apps...as a person that’s relatively new to music making...and especially Synthesis...this is truly amazing!

    Audio unit extension issues
    Doesn't play well with GarageBand

    UNUSABLE (keeps crashing)
I really wanted to like this app because it doesn’t sound bad but it’s unusable. It keeps crashing when I try to use it in GarageBand.

    Not enough platitudes
Amazing, Incredible, Beautiful. Without a doubt the best of its kind. I’m a jazz, soul, funk guy and this is beyond fantastic. Professional sounds. The developers should get some kind of award for creating the app at this price. A must have! Show more

    Serious bug
I'm becoming a fan of this developer's apps, but this one has a major flaw: dropping notes. It doesn't happen when I'm playing it standalone, but when I record it as an AuV in Beatmaker, some of the notes simply won't play back. This doesn't happen with any other app, including other apps by Audiokit Pro. Hopefully it's a user error, and if so, I'll update this review. Show more

    Pro perfect
Smooth layout, awesome sounds, a must have for all musicians. Take it in the studio or set it up for live performance. Either way you won’t be disappointed. Thanks.????

    Fantastic...,.but
Yo- absolutely amazing. And while I give it five stars and love every aspect about it, (especially direct tracking in Garage Band) , I’ve been experiencing crashing. And since this isn’t a perfect world, everything about this app borders on perfection. Thus, this is not a critique about the app, rather just a friendly reminder to developers of this. An app so dynamic and powerful, I imagine it has a few tweaks to work out in the hardware’s ability (iPad) to process such sonic high qualities. You guys up-did yourselves. Truly a fine digital instrument, worthy of any and all caliber of musician. Big ups, G’s??? Show more

    Just get it
If you’re looking for that FM sound, just pause reading, and go ahead and download this synth. So, while it’s downloading... Rather than having to learn the hairiness of programming FM synthesis, you can layer samples of a variety of DX patches, then edit them in ways that are probably more familiar to most users. My rating is based on my ticking through most of the patches and playing around here and there with the settings. The fifth star is missing (as of this writing), because I’d have preferred a true FM synthesizer, or an FM programming mode that I could layer with other patches here (if it’s already in here, I haven’t yet found it). It’s not a complaint, though. Especially for the price, if you’re looking for the FM sound, there’s plenty to explore here, and plenty to use, whether for gigging or recording. Show more

    I’m in heaven!
Playing this app makes me lose track of time. I have always LOVED the sounds of the original DX7... and now I get them conveniently on my iPad. Thanks!
