I got it to play music, then 5 more commands just keeps playing the same song. Lots of lag between commands and action even when it happens to work.

Downloaded the app and when I got to the part to plug usb into phone and open car play I did. However it says it’s supposed to show up as an app on your Ford CarPlay but it doesn’t! I’ve redownloaded it and messed with my car setting and no matter what it doesn’t show up as an app like the app says it’s supposed to. Show more

Set up was easy and went as expected. The problem for me is this app assumes you have an unlimited data plan. You need one to take advantage of using Alexa to play Amazon music and most of this apps features. Alexa is not on your phone it is in the cloud. I don't have an unlimited plan. An example! I download music from Amazon to my phone. This let's me enjoy the benefits of Amazon Music Unlimited without using my limited cell phone data. I would like the option to have Alexa play music local to my phone. Yes even if Alexa is in the cloud. Give her a command to play local music. Otherwise this is a good app but not good for me. Would be nice if there was only one Alexa app and my F150 and Edge ST looked like an Echo device. Wish that Waze or Apple Maps would display when the IVI display was at the Home setting. When Alexa is active can not listen to SiriusXM without turning Ford Alexa off. That’s too bad. I liked that I could control my home Alexa services - that is cool. Clearly this is promising technology but requires smoother human interaction and use-ability improvements. Nice if iPads are supported vs being only an iPhone app. Developers should not limit screen size to only one platform. Show more

I download the Alexa ford app and allowed the app full access so I could use the full potential of Alexa but I was sadly disappointed. First off after plugging it in it takes about 3 minutes for it to come on the gps screen. I then tried to wake up Alexa like I do with the echo but that failed multiple times. I then uninstalled this app and went back to Apple car play which works like a gem. Amazon and ford need to get their act together. These companies combined are worth billions and they can’t manage to make an app work. Show more

Just tried it on my 2020 Fusion and it's useless. The wake word only responds half the time. It won't give me directions because it says it can't find my location. Most everything else doesn't work because Alexa says she is having a problem right now. I also don't like that I have to disable car play for it to work. Going to delete until this is working as expected. Show more

So hard to set up. If I disable CarPlay, Alexa seems to work. Enable CarPlay and Alexa stops working. It’s an either, or, situation. Total waste of time, it seems. In this day and age, you shouldn’t need a computing degree just to set up an App. Show more

I just plug my phone in. It automatically connects with Alexa. No need for a special app.

This used to work great. Then in the last few weeks or months it stopped responding to the Alexa wake word so I had to touch my F-150 screen to get it to listen; inconvenient but not the end of the world. Settings still show the wake word should work. And the last week or 2 it has become completely useless. Literally nothing works with it! I touch the screen to get Alexa to listen, I give my music command, and then it says something along the lines of not being able to understand right now. It’s like the app went completely belly up! I miss having the high audio quality of amazon music compared to the comically poor quality of pandora through CarPlay. Show more

You have to disable your phone from carplay, where there’s multiple apps working without issue all to get the ford+Alexa app (and only the ford/Alexa app) to work? That’s just stupid. I was excited to use this on my 2019 ford but seriously disappointed in it. I’ll go back to talking to Siri on CarPlay. Show more
