I’ve tried several tuners, but this seems to be best. It can hear the strings on an electric bass with the sound off. It can tell what note you’re playing and get you in tune quickly. But the best is the 2 tuner meters operating in parallel. One is for fine tuning to a cent, and the other is ballpark 3 cents. Just a brilliant idea, I never want to go back to a single meter. Doesn’t work

Does everything I need it to, been using it for a few weeks and plan to keep using it. Great job.

UPDATE: Not only did they respond to my review, but they FIXED the issue as well, and within a couple of DAYS of posting my review! Great job, developers!!! ?? Original review: This is an awesome tuner, but the only thing I have an issue with is that the letter keys to audibly hear the sound are not transposed. In Alto Sax mode (Eb), when I tap the A# key, it is audibly playing a G. However, the microphone is synced up with the correct key; when I play a G note, it displays the G. I’ve tried adjusting settings and have not found a solution to this issue. Please fix this, and I will change my review to 5 stars because I like this app, but I want to love it! ? Show more

Super easy to use, and very accurate, amazing tuner

If you’re a singer working on pitch issues, get this app. I’ve tried 10 or 15 different tuners and KeyTuner is easily the best. (1) It isn’t thrown off by wide vibrato and other pitch excursions. As a bonus, it’s still quick to detect when I’m passing through different notes, so I can use it for interval training too. With most other tuning apps, depending on their design, you’ll either get a macroscopic view that obscures any minute tuning errors, or you’ll get a microscopic view that jitters badly if you stray from one note to the next. (2) The app remains glued to the fundamental harmonic - the pitch you’re aiming for and which our ears identify automatically. In contrast, most tuning apps simply focus on the *loudest* harmonic, which may be the second, third, or higher (depending on your voice, the note, the vowel, etc.) and generally won’t be in tune with respect to the closest note. KeyTuner’s interface is unique but very polished, and it’s clear that lots of work has been put into the harmonic identification and time-based averaging algorithms. I haven’t needed to use this app for any other instruments but I can only imagine those modes are equally well designed. Huge kudos to the people who produced this app. Show more

Does this tuner works to tune a kalimba?

I tried several apps to help me tune my piano. This one was the best in that the needle didn’t jump all over. It was really easy to see and use. Show more

I’m very happy with this tuner. I makes tuning my violin much easier than my old tuner. The lightning mode helps with my intonation.

I really like this app and think it’s excellent however I did not want to put a rating in at this time but the rating screen kept coming up like an annoying mosquito you swat away with your hand. Each time I had to put down my cello bow and tap”NOT NOW”even though I hit not now several times it became so annoying that I decided to give it 2 stars and write this review based on the fact that you have to rate the app to use it for more than 30 seconds. I would expect that from a free app but I actually paid for this one. Show more

This tuner is amazing! I’m very impressed with the speed, ease, and accuracy. My iPhone worked seamlessly with the piano. It’s a must have!!!
