Better app however, not happy with subscription based licensing.
I have OnSong 2020 and will continue to use it. It looks like this new 2022 version is better and has more features and is a better app overall. However… I am not happy with subscription based licensing. I’ll say it again, I am not happy with subscription based licensing. One more time, I am not happy with subscription based licensing. I would pay $300 if I could get a LIFETIME LICENSE for individual use with all of the features for an app as awesome as this one. And I would be happy to pay another $300 if upgrades to a newer version of the app are worth it. I know that I can afford a subscription and you have a $2/month deal, but that’s not what I want. I want the option to OWN my software, not rent it out. Show more

    Why so limited now
Was a previous user of the 2020 and it was more useful compared to this new2022. Now I can’t even mirror this so basically almost not helpful at all and the old people cannot see what I play now. Show more

    I love this app
I am a worship leader for a decent sized church. I love this app. No more printing paper sheets. It stores your songs for future use. They are always adding more and more beneficial features. You can use a pedal and turn pages or change songs hands free. It help the flow of the service immensely. In would suggest this app to anyone who leads worship or plays on a team for sure! Show more

    Way Too Many Bugs
I’ve used this program since the very start of my busy music career in 2014, when I would’ve given it 5 stars. Over the course of the last year, my program has crashed way too many times and it’s always at the most in opportune time. I upgrade my iPads every year (always have a backup!) I’ve tried many times to reach out to the company to absolutely no avail, so I give up. Apparently, the increase of price for their “subscription” has decreased the performance of this once-great application. Currently seeking another program to replace this junk. Show more

    Poor edit saving
You have to have your charts almost exactly how you want them before importing them and even then the spaces and chord locations get jacked up and usually aren’t right. Then in my experience when I’m trying to save changes it’s hit or miss whether it saves after I exit the editor. Terribly frustrating to spend 20 minutes fixing a bunch of chord and word locations, clicked on and exited and it didn’t save any of the work I just did. Show more

    Pay again
You want me to pay again for features I paid less than a year ago in OnSong 2020. Not happening!

    Repeat
When I update or overwrite song. Having to repeat process 2/3x just to get it to update. When importing song it will import my song straight into set list . Love the app. Please update Show more

    Support?
What Support? Hardest company EVER to contact with any method? Apple needs to review this company!

    Decent response from developer
Initially I couldn’t restore my backup from my old iPad to the new one, when I tried to open the app on the new iPad it immediately shut down and closed. After writing this in a review the developer did respond with instructions on how to re-download my purchase from the App Store. I now have the app working but the “remember zoom and position” function is a bit faulty. I tried fooling with every setting for over 2 hours but still having the same issue. When I set the zoom and position, I come back to the song and it has either shifted to the right or shifted up leaving about an 1” margin at the bottom. Show more

    NOT WORTH IT
Terrible user experience design, glitchy, not worth the price. Do not recommend

    Deleted?
Did y’all push something to remove OnSong from devices? Because nobody touches my iPad and it was gone along with ALL MY SONGS

No version 2020 on App Store.
I have an older iPad that does not support OnSong 2022. I have both on a newer iPad, and would like to get 2020 on this iPad mini. Other reviews say it is still available, but I can’t find it Show more

    Ehhhh
Really my biggest complaint is I don’t find it user friendly and easy to use…. The sticky notes function is horrible! I just want to add little text notes to my charts and I don’t like my handwriting. Guitar Stand has great text option compared to this! It’s a nightmare to make notes on my charts. Im shocked they don’t have an easy option for adding text that doesn’t interfere with the chart and does odd shapes for this price point! Show more

Better now and 2020 ver not going away and still supported
I very much appreciate the efforts of the OnSong representatives and owners in listening to our issues and making every attempt to improve the user experience and addressing everyone’s concerns. 2020 seems to be here to stay for some time and we are not required to upgrade to 2022. Thank You With that said I have given 2022 another shot and it’s better now and I’m using it as the go-to version now. If you like to upload your songs in MS Word and then extract text to Onsong format it is different than 2020 method because they give you the ability to save different versions of song attachments. you just have to figure out how to do a text extraction in 2022 and then determine which OnSong format you want to use. You can just delete the OnSong versions you don’t want. It’s still different and seemed easier in 2020 but doable. My orig. review now superseded by above…. This is my 2nd review of this because I can’t seem to find my first negative review. Love OnSong 2020, don't love the new 2022. PLEASE let us keep using 2020 and please keep supporting it because 2022 is not ready for release and certainly not ready to be a “paid” version. I WILL however continue to pay for 2020 if you keep it alive. I will very likely be moving on to something new if 2022 bugs not fixed especially the MS Word “data extract” feature that was so much simpler in 2020. Thanks Show more

    Not a great upgrade
I can’t seem to add more songs to my song list. And to be able to do it I will need to upgrade and purchase the app again. I paid for the 2020 and now again ? Show more

    Not good for new adopters
Almost all features are locked down including settings without paying $50 a year subscription
