I wrote the text below last time I was prompted, all of which remains true. I would add only that the developer keeps adding useful features, so this app gets better! This is super convenient, and does exactly what is says on the tin: you can control some aspects of your Sonos system with a convenient menu bar tool. I'm quite impressed with the interface for grouping and ungrouping speakers and with the interface for controlling the volume for the group and for individual speakers in the group, well done. At first I was bummed that it only lets you choose music from your Sonos Favortires, but after using it, it makes a lot of sense and also is much less of an issue than I thought. Have a Sonos system? Have a Mac? There is no reason not to get this. It does what it says with a clever UI and no troubles at all after a few months of using it. Show more

This is the most reliable and fastest working Sonos app for me. It's much more convenient, too: the UX is perfect, sitting at the top of the screen. It feels like it starts up nearly instantly, and lets me immediately take control of whatever my Sonos speakers are doing. Show more

While you can alt-tab to Sonos and use their wonky interface, MBC4S is great if you mainly live out of your favorites list. Otherwise, you need to pop over to Sonos and root around for what you want. The main improvement I'd like to see is song notifications when Sonos isn't running. This is the main reason I run the Sonos app these days. Show more

GETTING BETTER & BETTER. shortcuts made it the perfect sonos tool for the at home professional. & with the latest UI/UX changes it's better than ever... now when you press a shortcut you get quick little UI notification that is uber helpful in letting one know that they hit the shortcut right. beatuiful work Alexander. best $3 i've ever spent. update: Dec 2022 better than ever. The controller app from Sonos is too much, and not enough at the same time. This app gives me just what I need for 95% of my interactions with my Sonos system (play, pause, change station, mute). Show more

I'd like to be able to search on Spotify.

Does exactly what it says, lets you control volume, play, etc., from the menu bar. Way more useful than the Sonos App, which regularly fails and still won't work with Ventura. This app works fine. My only gripe is the name—I wish the "Sonos" came first so that I could find it more easily. Show more

Anyone with a Sonos sytem (even if it's just a single speaker) and a Mac needs this little menubar app. I rarely use the actual Sonos Mac app b/c 90% of what I play is my Sonos Favorites and this app gives me complete control of that. I'm amazed how much a single developer has iterated on this app, making it better and better with each version. Keep up the *great* work. Show more

I got sick of having to go into the Sonos app (which is a nightmare) every time I wanted to control the volume of an individual speaker while listening to Spotify via their application. The Menu Bar Controller is a game changer! It's so convenient and look great, too. You can even select what speakers you want to listen to your music on. Absolutely worth the purchase! Show more

Reliable, easy to use, convenient. The keyboard shortucts are beautiful. Couple things: needs shuffle and repeat options, and access to the music queue generally

Unfortunately no combination of actions on the UI seem to actually play music through the Sonos system, though it does make you jump through hoops to log in to your Sonos account. So close, yet, so far… Show more

Poorly integrated with SONOS app.

I've been using MBC for at least a year and it has continued to work through multiple MacOS and Sonos updates. I use it almost every day so have seen the upgrades and improvements. Thanks! Show more

Sonos makes excellent speakers however the controller and app need significatn improvement.

This App is kickass! Keep inventing.

Great tool to manage the speakers and music. Also has some cool features I didnt even know was possible.
