It’s baffling to me how far behind this app is compared to the Spotify artist app. It’s been seven years and Apple still hasn’t caught up? I’ve been an Apple fan since the 90s. I’m very disappointed in how limited this app is for artist insights and listener data. Apple, please understand that part of the reason Spotify is leading is because they cater to what artists want access to. It causes us (artists) to push our listeners to that platform when we are marketing because we can analyze the effects of our ads. Simply showing how many plays we got in a week and a bar graph for the days isn’t sufficient. Show more

I really love the new features that Apple has added for their artists app, but the user interface has just become more convoluted and confusing. The last update was easier to navigate and find/do things. This update has hidden more things in different sections that aren’t immediately clear for someone who is used to using different artist management apps for streaming platforms, they could’ve added the new features on the same page is, they’ve had before, without changing the navigation Show more

I Have 17 songs on Apple Music and iTunes. I’ve been trying to gain access to my Apple Music for Artists for several years. I downloaded the Apple Music for artists app and then requested access to my artist profile. It says that I’m waiting for them to review my request but I never get a response. It says on google it shouldn’t take more than 48 hours. It makes no sense. My request will literally just sit there forever and it doesn’t get approved or denied. Over the last couple years I have tried deleting and redownloading the app. I’ve tried canceling the request and sending it again. I’ve sent the request and let it sit for several months and nothing. It still says the same thing. I’ve tried everything. I don’t know what to do at this point. Show more

Now it’s not showing avatars and I’ve Re uploaded them; the previous version worked better smh now our avatars won’t load and idk if they even show up for AppleMusic listeners to see Show more

i know this isn’t a distribution service but it would be cool for more artist features. like bios, description, hometown and birthday etc. I think a cool way to connect to audiences could also be playlist submissions and things like that. Also i love that as an admin i can make an artist playlist but i can literally do nothing with it. doesn’t show up anywhere. Show more

As of this version, the only way to break down the info is by song streams. Any deeper info is only available at the song level. Can’t see data by album, or grouped specifically by purchases or location any other criteria. Milestones are worthless points of data, really. Managing an artist that does primarily covers, I need to be able to know how many songs sold so I can pay for licensing, getting that data is way more tedious than it should be. The Spotify Artist app does all the things and does it much better. Show more

It won’t even give me the option to reset password, it won’t let me press anything.

Help us out

The app looks nothing like what Apple is showing in screen shots. The app shows me, the number of plays, Shazams, song purchases, avg. daily listeners, and some milestones. There is nothing that shows the impact of playlists or tracking Shazams. It would be nice to have an app that helps artists promote their music on Apple’s platform that seems largely skewed toward big money established artists, and doesn’t seem interested in independent musicians. So I typed the right email and password, but it wouldn’t let me in and it keeps saying, “enter email and password”. It won’t even enable Face ID even if it is enabled! Can you please try to fix this? Thanks I’m advance! :)) Show more

I can’t see many simple but valuable metrics, such as streams by day. It makes the app less useful.

Personally I don’t like the app because of the glitches, Lag, And Apple Music As A Platform

I like the idea for the app it’s just as soon as it tells me to sign in the screen freezes? Please get this fixed!

I downloaded the app and put all the correct information in it as I’m an artist, but it STILL says “pending access.” It’s been o we a WEEK now!! So NOT get this app. Is garbage!! Show more

When I go in to the app it immediately asks for my Apple ID and password and when I try to enter them nothing happens!

I cant even sign in because it wont load!!!

Only thing the app lets you manage is the image.

App keeps crashing when trying to view all of my milestones can this be fixed asap

Apple is notorious for having problematic password requirements. Forcing users to use cumbersome password combinations, logging you out randomly, and not allowing you use past passwords all make this app a nightmare. Also, if you try to enter your iphone password, the app sometimes says its wrong. Zero stars for developers that have failed their users. Show more
