If you are here like me, you found through Google that this app is the only way to sync and playback audio or video files directly to your Apple Watch without iTunes or the built-in Music app. With Apple moving to a more open file system, it is strange the Watch is still so locked down to iTunes. MMPlayer is the answer. Getting it working, however, can take some doing, so here are some pointers: 1. I urge you to change MMPlayer’s default folder to your local storage on your iPhone. Go to your iPhone’s settings app, scroll down and traverse into MMPlayer’s settings, and set “Document Storage” to “On My iPhone.” 2. In MMPlayer, under Browser, copy your media files to the root (top) location of your MMPlayer folder. This should be under On My iPhone->MMPlayer. 3. This is the trickiest part since it is readily apparent. Before you can copy these files to your Watch, you need to have these files listedunder the MMPlayer tab in the app. You might think, I copied the files to the app folder, so why are they not being listed in the MMPlayer tab so I can copy them? Answer: swipe down to refresh. The app will scan its folder and then populate all the valid files. Show more

How the heck do you use this app... where are instructions? Very poor in my opinion.

Can’t figure out any of the instructions on how to move files to my watch. Very vague info.

Works perfect on my new Apple series 5 watch, its nice to play a song or short movie without having to Bluetooth speakers. But the Watch internal speaker is not a good replacement for the Bluetooth headsets Show more

Does not work with series 3 Apple Watch, followed instructions and two hours later no files have transferred.

Listening to audio or video from the built-in speaker of apple watch gives us a wonderful user experience without having to use any bluetooth headset or earphone. Please keep updating the functionality to render excellent value for watch users. Thank you for your hard work and time. Show more

I can’t believe Apple wouldn’t give us the option to play music on the watch’s speaker, because it actually sounds great (series 4). Thank you for this app, it’s super-useful! I hope you continue to develop the interface. If I could request just one small update: make the “order/random” button the same size as the other ones ? Show more

Overall, This app works okay. Really enjoy the WiFi transfer of files - so much faster than Bluetooth. It is also very nice to be able to use the Apple Watch’s speaker (canon fathom why Apple doesn’t allow music or podcast to be played via the watch’s speaker - totally lame...), love that you can use the Digital Crown to turn the volume up and down. Very efficient use of the battery as well, does not use very much. My main concern is that when watching a video in the original format, there are vertical lines on the left and right side of the video. However, when you double-tab to zoom-in, the video is clear, but also cuts off the sides (because it is zoomed in). But very good effort, when you really think about it, having the option / freedom / consumer choice of being able to watch video on your wrist, is pretty amazing. Add a real standalone YouTube player and this app is guaranteed to win App of the Year. Show more

Does not work with apple watch 4 series. It should say that! Don't buy.

It doesn’t work at all for my new Apple Watch 4 ！我的苹果手表4根本用不了这个APP，可能是这个APP需要更新！

Although UI is not very nice looking, this app completely solves my problem! With ticking sound from omega speedmaster, now I feel like own a real mechanical watch!

I hope an update will happen soon to support the large screen size of the Apple Watch Series 4.

*** UPDATE - it is now possible to transfer files of any size to the watch using the WiFi transfer mode. Follow the pop up notes. A little weird not being able to select which files - it’s all or none up to 50 files at a time. You can have more in the queue just upload first 50, hit delete all and repeat. This is one more critical step in making Apple watch 3 independent of iPhone. Watching videos and hearing audio over built in speaker is great also. Would like to see the files sorted though. It is a random listing that makes tv series (Night Court and Wings) hard to follow in sequence, they do not end up in order. But small problem compared to having video on the watch! It used to work fine I even managed to get the full Deadpool movie on my watch but after latest update the app won’t even show up on my watch anymore. Show more

Great app! Thanks for fixing this to work on the Watch in the background on the speakers. The music transfer to the watch takes a little while but it works. The Watch music player is functional, but the volume buttons are difficult to use. Show more
