Wow. Just bought an AVR21 and this app just crashes. Period. I moved from a Marantz and thought I was frustrated by their app. But theirs looks like a masterpiece to this. Seriously, just fix it so we can use it. Show more

First I pressed menu on the remote, then I pressed General Setup, then I went down to Control and pressed it, and finally I changed control to IP. That’s all. It now works great. Hope this helps. Show more

Finally got ARCAM Control App to work consistently. Up until 3 weeks ago, ARCAM Control was failing every two or 3 days, presenting a window which stated: “Unable to Connect, Unknown Error Occured”. That required a hard reset of my AVR 390 in order to reconnect to the ARCAM Control App (for another 2 or 3 days). My A/V Consultant (Best Buy/Magnolia) explained that the dropped ARCAM Control App connection was due to my AVR 390 Network setting being “USE” DHCP. He told me that this resulted in the eventual loss of connection between the AVR 390 and the ARCAM Control App. Our A/V Consultant changed the AVR 390 Network setting to “NO” DHCP, with a fixed IP Address. Problem solved. My AVR 390 has been connected to the ARCAM Connect App for 3 uninterrupted weeks. From anywhere in my home, I can now turn my ARCAM AVR 390 on/off, mute, change sources, adjust volume. Show more

Same issues as below. I get up to selecting the device and then it crashes. Why isn’t the company addressing this?

Just crashes as soon as you start the app.

The only thing this app does is crash. It scanned my network, found my receiver, then crashed. Now it just crashes as soon as I open it. Arcam, you’re supposed to be better than this. Extremely disappointed. Show more

Brand new AVR11 and you think it would. I contacted support and they said to use MusicLife (Put out by the parent co) which also doesn’t work except simply for channel selection. Arcam really ought to fix this. Show more

Avr21 and isn’t in sight range of the screen so I have no workaround. Ridiculous.

For the price of the device -the app is crap & doesn’t even bother to tell you what’s playing or anything. Rip off

Using iPhone 13 Pro IOS 15.5. App opens; shows Arcam AVR11 then just crashes and closes.

The app connects every time, all needed controls are easy once you learn. So give it a 1-2 for learning curve. The big exception is the volume control. Circular design is harder to adjust than straight slider and when you move to a straight slider or not, please add the ability to single step the volume. With a Touch + and Touch -. Show more

Can’t even review the functionality. It crashes within seconds of opening. How did this even get through QC?

Seems like the lights are on but nobody’s home with this app. With an AVR21 and iOS 15.4.1, the receiver is discoverable, but any attempt to connect crashes the app. Concur with the sentiment of others that for a product in this price range, a supporting app has a certain expectation to live up to. If the resources aren’t there to maintain it, stop the bleeding and take it down already. Show more

Wish I could review, but when I open it, it just closes! No message, nothing. Just immediately crashes. Wow. This is not a cheap unit!

Having same issue with the app. I agree paid a premium price for amp and for it not work with a simple app. Not good. Arcam please fix !

Auto discover seems to have been fixed but now I get “Unable to connect. An unknown error occurred.” whenever I try to do anything with my AVR390. Force quit and reboot doesn’t help. Show more

Just can’t connect though it shows the device in the app as available option. Such a shame for hi end receiver

For a premium price AVR, I would hope for a much better app. The sound on this thing is amazing, but if I can’t perform simple actions like turning it up and down or changing sources from the app without getting an error message 90% of the time, I may be going back to an inferior brand that I don’t get frustrated on a daily basis with.
