As everyone states this app as it stands now is useless. It was spotty pre-update and now it just hangs in the screen. I also have issues with Airplay dropping or not connecting at all. We have a mesh network in the house so I cannot separate the 2.4 and 5GHz bands to truly figure out if this is the issue with Airplay. KEF do better! Show more

New update rendered an already terrible app completely useless. Hoping this is resolved soon.

It would be extremely nice if the LSX’s can connect to a combined network of 2.4ghz and 5ghz instead of having to separate the two channels in order for the LSX’s to connect. Other than that, it works for what you want it to do. Show more

The latest update made the app totally unusable. Just instantly crashes please fix.

Now it’s stuck on the accept privacy policy screen! What is the problem here, folks???? The phone is updated. Your software is causing my ls50 speakers to be virtually unusable. Good grief! Show more

If i didn’t love the sound of the speakers so much in would return them.The wireless implementation on the speakers leaves much to be desired. How hard could it be to make your device actually stay available on a network? If you ask KEF’s software team, the answer is likely “more than we can manage”. Show more

not working new updated ?

The last update was so smooth. I could always and easily control my LS50. Now I can’t even connect to it at all :,((

The two apps for these speakers are horrendous to say the least. An absolute joke! Plus these speakers are highly overrated. I would HARD PASS if I had the chance to turn back time. I should have been quicker to return these. Show more

Speakers are incredible. The app to control the speakers is terrible. Restart, delete, reinstall, unplug, repeat. Highly frustrating. You’d think for the price the product would be perfect.

But no. The speakers sound great but how are we suppose to use them if AirPlay doesn’t work half the time? My internet went down and I spent the next hour trying to re-pair the speakers to the wifi through this app. I’m at a loss for words, I can barely use these things. When they do it’s an amazing experience but these are rare and far between. Show more

KEF needs to take a page from Sonos book and rehaul their app. Crashes all the time, cannot connect to speakers on a regular basis, not an effective control of the speakers, and the easiest thing of just controlling the volume doesn’t even work very well. Show more

How can a company make such great speakers and have such a useless app???

The speakers are INCREDIBLE. They are worth every penny. The app is the polar opposite - so bad it makes me regret purchasing the speakers every time I have to use it. Here’s the good news: you don’t need the app very often. I’ve had my speakers for three years or so and only had to go through the frustration of using this app twice. Once you get it set up - you can control the speakers with the remote. But every once in a while you’re gonna need the app. A couple tips: If the app doesn’t detect your speakers immediately - close the app, restart your phone, and try again. When it gets to the point where it wants to connect your phone to the speaker WiFi, allow that, then immediately go into your phone WiFi settings and Renew the Lease. Finally - once it has asked you to put in your WiFi password, be warned that the app is too dumb to recognize if your password is wrong, so if it looks like it worked all the way to the end, then it can’t connect - you may need to start all over again and CAREFULLY enter your password. KEF - you sell speakers for thousands of dollars a set. Go hire a company to help you fix your app if you can’t do it yourself. It’s nearly 2021. You can’t be a top company no matter how great your physical product is if that product requires an app, and yours is this bad. No one who has ever used this app will buy a second set of your speakers, you are costing yourself money with this poorly supported digital dumpster fire. Show more

Unusable terrible app, constantly hangs - negates a perfectly good set of speakers!
