The geomungo is a traditional Korean stringed musical instrument, which has movable bridges called Anjok and 16 convex frets. The strings are plucked with a short bamboo stick called suldae, which is held between the index and middle fingers of the right hand, while the left hand presses on the strings to produces various pitches. Enjoy Korean music with Geomungo! About CATSNU CATSNU is an organization which creates advanced art contents by converge art and science. We aim to build creative research environment focusing on education and study. Also we research in digital media and electroacoustic music. Moreover, we are continuously challenge for newer art area such as developing virtual Korean instrument and mobile application, and interactive hybrid performance using sensor application.
