MAZETOOLS MUTANT - MULTIPERSPECTIVE MUSIC The app is a hyper-loop machine and uses the surfaces of a cube to play melodies, rhythms and sound surfaces by touch. The resulting loops can be instantly given effects - and heard from different perspectives. By turning the cube up, down, left and right, the self-composed loops change in tempo, pitch and harmony. New moods and musical impressions are created - variations of the recorded sounds and melodies that provide fresh impulses to the creative process again and again. EXPLORE MUTANT THROUGH INTUITIVE TOUCH CONTROL The musical environment is based on 7 instruments: Synth, Bass, Arp, String, Drums, Percussion and Sampler. All interactions are recorded and played back in loops. Each instrument has 4 main controllers for rhythmic impulses and timing, envelope and pitch curves, filters, distortion, chorus and echo effects. MULTIPERSPECTIVE: VARY YOUR SOUND Turn the Hypercube and switch between 8 variations of your current composition. They will differ in chord, speed and pitch. You can also choose between seven cubes, each with another acoustic environment. CREATE, RECORD, SAVE & SHARE You can sample your voice with the mic input, choose samples from a library or insert your own. Take snapshots to hold your current state and get immediately back to it. You can save all Snapshots to a session file, which you can share with other Mutant users. Record the main channel to a stereo wav audio file and use it for further music production and art. COLLABORATIVE: EXPERIMENT & JAM TOGETHER Once connected to the Collab mode, you can make music together by a new approach. Your current session will be sent and synced to other Mutant devices. In this way a session gets shared in the process of creation. . Just log into the same Wifi, activate Collab and start making sound across platforms. BLUETOOTH & ABLETON LINK Mutant supports playback via Bluetooth devices. Ableton Link can be used for synchronization with other music apps. SYSTEM USE ON iOS 11&12 WITH 1GB RAM (iPhone 5s, 6, 6plus, iPad 2 Mini, Air 1) It is possible to run Mutant on such old devices and we enhance the downwards compatibility steadily. Nevertheless, the use is limited!
