MusiQuest is a creative new way to learn music that helps ensure all kids can access the benefits of musical learning and expression. It's an inventive experience intended to turn "device time" into a musical adventure loved equally by children and adults. With MusiQuest, you can: - Write songs with 75+ real instruments (using block or standard notation). - Explore over 300 guided lessons on subjects from Waltzes to Whales. - Play with more than 500 pre-built song grooves. - And much, much more. Every MusiQuest account syncs across devices, backs up automatically, and can be used on iPads or the web. For educators and administrators, the MusiQuest dashboard makes it easy to track students' progress and manage multiple accounts at once. As a parent, hearing your child's songs is like seeing them bring their art home from school; with maybe a little extra special pride that *your kid* can be a composer. (They can!) In sum, MusiQuest simultaneously preserves musical tradition and provides a modern, creative learning experience. We believe you'll be blown away. And, we welcome your feedback anytime at team@musiquest.com. ---------------------------------------- WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: "I've been a teacher, principal, and superintendent. Good app but not much content.
$120 a year for 45 instruments is a lot of money for a little reward. You won’t be getting $120 each year from me. I do like the app, as it has good instruments, lots of interactive lessons, and demo songs that help you learn how music is composed. It’s easy to graduate from this to higher-level music apps like Medly and Auxy whenever you’re ready. It’s just WAY too expensive. Medly charges $36 a year, and you get 502 instruments. Auxy charges $40 a year, and you get around 500 instruments, plus the ability to tweak them, make them your own, and save your customizations as custom presets. In this app, audio recording is a paid feature, but in Medly, it’s free. Medly is much more worth it, and it’s much better, but MusiQuest is simple and easy to use for children younger than me (I’m an almost teen that was interested in this app). For MusiQuest users older than 10, try out Medly instead. Also, I almost forgot. This app CRASHES way too much. Sometimes, It crashes when I try save a song, share a song, or even OPEN THE SONG CALLED MAY 30 2022 THAT I DID NOT EVEN MAKE BUT IT PUT IT ON MY IPAD. Show more

Such a fun way to learn about music
I love this app! Kids get so much out of making their own songs, and the guided lessons are super useful. 10/10 would recommend.

Great app for general music exploration
I'm a former K-12 music educator and would have loved to have something like this to accompany my lessons for the younger kids as a general exploration tool. I think it's great how they incorporated a simplified GarageBand / DAW type simulator to explore songwriting and general song structure in a way that sets a learner up for success. I would have spent hours on this app as a kid, perusing through every section. While I appreciate all that there is to explore (music theory, song structure, light history, etc...), I was a bit disappointed in the lack of vocal pedagogy during the singing explorations. The narrator has a great speaking voice but hums in a low register before the app plays a melody with a flute line that children are supposed to mimic with a "za" vowel? The breathing technique would have benefited from some sort of visual representation and instructing the user to breathe to the beat made me internally cringe. If I were to use this app with a student or class, I'd definitely want to walk through that part on proper breathing and using your singing voice before letting them explore those sections. All in all, this is a great teaching aide and an overall delightful musical adventure to use as a supplement, not replacement for music education for your younger student. Show more

Our internet is fine, but the app refuses to load. Very sad 5 year old here ?

A great way to encourage kids’ passion for music.
My daughter has been enjoying MusiQuest (and its predecessor Sketch-a-Song) for years. This new release is the best yet, with tons of cool new features.
