Piper Ears is an ear training practice and quiz program for musicians. It plays musical examples and asks the students to identify what they have heard. The quiz mode plays examples of scales, intervals, melodies, rhythmic patterns, tempo examples, and dynamics. The practice mode focuses on particularly difficult areas such as tonality, chord quality, and intervals, that require extra practice. There are 11 levels of difficulty.
What’s New
Complete facelift: new graphics make the app more engaging. Improved sound: chords sound less arpeggiated, melodies more legato

    Excellent ear training
I just purchased this app for my 12-year old to use in preparing for her upcoming Certificate of Merit exam on violin. She finds it way more fun than having me play intervals for her, and quickly began exploring higher levels. Even her older brother, a conservatory student, was interested to try it when he came home for spring break. Extremely useful. Show more

Yeah! Can't wait to show this to my students...
Thanks Michael, for having a drill option in addition to the "quiz" mode. Great asset for students preparing for upcoming exam "season."
