Unique App that helps improve important skills
I have downloaded every ear training app in the ios app store. I’ve only kept three. PitchMe is one of them. This app allows me to learn to recognize harmony in context. I haven’t found any other apps that do this. There are a few that allow you to work on chord quality. But, pitch me is different. It focuses in hearing progressions within a specific key. This has more application than many others which are just recognition drills. I like that fact that you can focus in one key at a time. I would like to see the options expand out to some non-diatonic harmonies. But, I recognize how that might be difficult. I knocked off a star because there are some blatant errors in how the certain enharmonic chords are spelled out. For example, the Key of Bb/A# has the following chords: A#, Cm, Dm, D#, F, Gm, and Adim. This is distracting. I think it reinforces bad habits. Show more

    Ear training at its finest
The best functional ear trainer I have ran across.

    Really good
So far, so good. Only thing I have a problem with is the settings reset every time I open it back up. For example, if I want the C scale, only single notes, and say, 7 of them, it changes when I close and reopen the app later to something different. And maybe a little more explanation on how the points and levels work. But other than that it’s a good app and I think it’s worth the $1 I spent on it. Show more

    Great
Went ahead and unlocked all features for $1, worth it. Would be great if you could choose specifically which notes to be quizzed on, rather than three options (1456), (all but 7), (all). Show more
