One of the best apps for musicians ever!
This app is super convenient to just have on your computer. I only put 4 stars because it can be difficult to get to shut of ocasionaly. When I click on the button to turn it off it thinks that I am trying to set a tempo. Would love an update that adds some other method of turning off. Show more

    could be amazing
all we need is a tap tempo, where we could just tap on the menu icon to set our own tempo, or have a slider scale. what good is it to just have 4 basic tempos? this app could be great with a simple tweak. Show more

    Good start
This would be perfect and awesome if I could set my own BPMs. You can select 60, 120, 136, or 160 BPM from a little drop down menu and hear a little tap sound to that beat. I wanted to match a song to 140 BPM which I cant do. Show more

    needs work
Very unconventional program in every way. It won’t show in your Dock when it’s running or in the Finder, only at the top of the screen as a pull down menu item. It does show in Activity Monitor among your active processes. Even when it’s doing nothing it uses lots of your CPU, and in addition it causes coreaudiod to use a large percent of your CPU potential. When it’s actually running (making sounds) it uses even more! That’s a lot of power consumption just to make a sound once every 4 billion CPU cycles (on my machine). Add to that the bizarre system of setting the frequency and you have a totally irritating application that will not put you in a mood to create beautiful music. Show more

    Simple and Easy
This metronome is extremely easy to use and is very quick to acheive your desired tempo. If all you want is a basic metronome, then use this app.

    doesn’t work
All I get is a demo that runs on it’s own, my mouse and cursor do nothing, there is no menu bar. How do you even get this thing to work??? Glad it was free Show more

    A great click
A simple metronome which can run nicely in the background. Volume is determined by your computer output level. Click and drag left and right to increase or decrease your metronome tempo in the QN icon of your finder tool bar. Great App Show more
