Scrobbles for Last.fm brings the music network Last.fm to your Mac! The app offers both Last.fm statistics and Apple Music scrobbling. Features: • Apple Music Scrobbling Scrobble your currently playing track to Last.fm. Tracks that were played in the past, are not scrobbled. Scrobbles for Last.fm has to be active while the track is playing in Apple Music in order to send the data to Last.fm. • Supports Apple Radio Stations Tracks played on Apple Music radio stations will be scrobbled as well. • Menu Bar Extras You can show the currently playing track and scrobbling statistics in the configurable menu bar extra! This feature can be disabled in the preferences (when disabled, only an icon is displayed in the menu bar). • macOS Widgets The app comes with four different macOS Widgets. • Mini Player You can use the Mini Player to control the playback of Apple Music. • Favorites Select a time interval and see your favorite albums, artists and tracks! • Data Import Once the app is started, all data since the last app start is imported automatically so the database is always up to date. • Real-Time Statistics Every single track that is scrobbled is stored in a local database. This database is then used to create a personal listening report. You can see weekly, monthly and yearly listening reports. • Modern Design The app comes in a very lightweight and modern design.     Won't run.
    As others have noted, this app won't run. It ran immediately after installing it but once I restarted my Macbook it refused to open ever again.

    Doesn't run since last update
    Since the recent update, Scrobbles for Last.FM doesn't launch properly. There is no icon in the menu bar, and only "ScrobblesLauncher" is listed as a running process. I did notice, however, that when launching it immediately after scrobbling with Last.FM's app in iOS, that the playcounts updated in my Mac's Music library. I realize that Apple Music is a buggy app since the rebranding and update in Catalina. It's still not uncommon to have sync failutes with iPhone since shuffling sync over to the Finder. However, this failure to launch Scrobbles for Last.FM is likely unrelated. It won't even run after deleting it, rebooting, and reinstalling it. Previous review: Since moving to Catalina (and now Big Sur), I've taken to using Last.fm's iOS app to capture scrobbles because Last.fm's scrobbler is garbage. However, manually updating is a pain. I was hoping that this app would pick up the iPhone plays for me as Last.fm's app used to do, but alas, no such luck. Only tunes played on the Mac show up in the "Recent Scrobbles" pane. iPhone plays are ignored. Very disappointing. Show more

    Works Perfectly (Plus Features You Didn't Expect!)
    I was really impressed with how smoothly this worked. I've used Last.fm for years, but this is the first scrobbler that correctly recorded all my song plays AND gave me quick access via the menubar to my profile, to how close the song was to being scrobbled, all my recent scrobbles, _pre-organized lists_ of weekly and monthly scrobbles... It's honestly exactly what you need if you use Last.fm and macOS. Show more

    UPDATE: Follow up from developer ?
    Though there is a dead link in the app menu for the developer and app website, there is a live link in the App Store. A response that there has been an update to correct issues has been received. The app is still maintained. Also, it has worked well for my scrobbling use. Simple interface and good function. Show more

    Nice
    Does what its supposed to do. I like that it can run in the background, but you also have the choice to open a window. My only tiniest complaint (that is easily fixable myself) is that it will scrobble tracks twice. Thats all. Its great. Show more

    Decent
    This might sound weird but i've noticed it works fine for a while (until like 4 pm I wanna say?) and then if I listen to anything later in the evening it only scrobbles 2-3 tracks. Might be a problem on my end though, when it's working it's fine Show more

    Best option for scrobbling on MacOS
    I don't know which is more crazy: how incredibly important it is for me to be able to scrobble my songs or the fact that millions of people on this earth don't even care about scrobbling. I recently moved from PC to Mac and I was having a tough time finding a solution for scrobbling my songs until I came across this program. It is FANTASTIC and I highly encourage anyone to give it a shot. Just make sure you set it to launch whenever you login to your computer so you don't accidentally miss scrobbling songs Show more

    Developer is super responsive!
    Had a feature request to only show Title and Track in the menubar and it was implemented and pushed out in a day. Amazing!

    Good app but it's missing somethings...
    Everyhing cool with the app, but It will be better to retrieve some historical info from lastFM, for example the reports for Weekly, Montly and Yearly only displyas data that was scrobbled by the app whjile it would be. better that data be retrieved from lastFM API. Another things to improve: - Allow to scrobble the same way that the official LastFM app: when reaching the half of the song or 4 minutes have been played; - Allow to send scrobbles from iPod Classic the same way it was possible in official LastFM Scrobbler app before MacOS Catalina.
